I eat anything I want but I also make healthy choices when I eat. I have been doing a lot of cooking for my family and I only cook healthy lean meats with good veggies. I eat my protein then veggies and if I have to have a starch (just because I am craving something) I only eat a very very small taste just to satisfy the craving. I eat a lot of fish, chicken, tender pork, ground turkey and some beef. I have also discovered spaghetti squash which gives you the pasta you want without the pasta. I put some marinara sauce on it with some ground beef and it was wonderful. Just make sure you are drinking a lot of fluids and eating your protein.

Congrats on the weight loss! I am also a May sleever and have lost over 40lbs!! I hope you are feeling better and all is well.

I try to track mine and some days I am diligent about it then others I could care less. I have no idea what to do about it. It is a nuisance especially if you cooking something. It is hard to track how many calories you put into a homemad dish sometimes and calculate servings. Then you cannot eat a whole serving. It seems to be too much trouble sometimes. I do not have any motivational or inspirational speeches to give lol. I think if you just try to track your protein and water intake you will be good. You will know by what your putting in your mouth if it is not good for you or is something you shouldn't be eating at all. Good luck.

I could not have said it better myself Made2beme. I had surgery with Dr. Garcia and the care was outstanding in the hospital and out.

I took my laptop and my phone. I just did not answer any phone calls. I texted some but did not accrue any charges on my phone for it. They have wifi so you can use your phone if you connect to it. My carrier is AT&T so that might make a difference.

I also used to be thin so that will not be a shock for me. I know how differently people treat you when your small and how different you feel. I feel like she is also talking abou psychologically. You will not be able to rely on food as your comfort or crutch anymore. You will have to find constructive instead of destructive ways to deal with things that food took care of. It is a hard transition but can be done if you keep focused on healthy vs unhealthy ways to deal with stress and everyday life. Good luck! You will go through some things along the way but it will all be worth it in the end.

I read the thread you are talking about and that is very strange to me because they told me how to clean my incisions before I left the hospital and gave me dressing changes to change them everyday. They checked on me daily after leaving the hospital as well as seeing 4 doctors everyday while being in the hospital. If you feel like something is wrong it is always best to ask before you leave the country. I am so sorry she is going through this. There could a lot of factors contributing to an incision infection however.

This makes me very sad you went throught that. I never had any trouble with my incisions and was told how to clean them when I left the hospital. I was checked on by Rosie several times at the hotel before I left. I am so sorry you are going through this.

I couldn't have said it better. This is personal choice everyone has to make on their own based on the research they have done. You can listen to the experience of others but have to make the decision based on what your heart is telling you. Well said!

I used Dr. Garcia and could not have been happier with my service and results. You would be in a good situation choosing either one. They are both good surgeons and you will get the same results from either one. You just have to make the choice on what your heart tells you. You will be happy either way.

They give you bottled water to drink.

I did not realize you were that far out. I would not think it would be gas. I agree you should get it checked out it could definitely be pneumonia.

Congratulations. The gas pain is very annoying but it will pass faster if you walk a lot. Good luck with your weight loss it looks like you have a good start.

I had some gas pains that were in my right shoulder that lasted about a week after surgery. That could be it. I took the dissolving gas X strips for it. It helped some but it just has to exit your body. Are you able to keep things down?

I am also going throught the same thing. I am also 6 weeks out and have been at a stand still for about 2 weeks. I am doing my best to up my calories but it is hard. I exercise and still no movement and I am exhausted. I am starting to take the B12 dissolving tabs they are not bad at all. I am at 38 lbs and frustrated as well. I am glad this was posted so I know what to do. I will up my calories and keep exercising to see if I can break this forever stall...

It also depends on if you have had kids, c-section etc. Working out will definitely minimize some of it but not all of it if your older. I will definitley have plastic surgery after reaching goal with out a doubt. I do not plan on wearing a bikini anyway so it won't bother me for some loose skin until I get it. Most people see you with clothes on so you can hide the bad areas until things are fixed.

I never crushed mine at all. Some meds cannot be crushed if they are time release. I never had a problem taking my meds although I did not need my metformin after about a week or so after surgery anymore. I have taken my antacid in pill form since the day I was released from the hospital.

I think you would have to had a prior problem with alcohol or on your way there before surgery. I have drank some in my life but I am not wanting to transfer my food addiction to alcohol. I have transferred it to cooking new high protein healthier dishes for me and my family. I am having a blast looking up recipes tweaking them and cooking for my family. I also am excited about working out where that was never a thing I was excited about before. I think it is a conscious choice where to transfer your unspent energy from not being able to eat like you could before.

Dr. Alvarez is supposed to have a great book. I have seen people buy it even though he isn't there surgeon. It actually advertises on this sight. It is called "Successful Weight Loss with The Gastris Sleeve" by Dr. Alvarez. I am thinking of ordering it myself. It is $13.95 plus $4.95 shipping if you get the printed, for nook, kindle or ipad its $9.99 only.

I think this is a worry everybody has. They may not express it but it is always in the back of their mind. It is a normal response since everything else has failed. Have faith in yourself that this time it will work.

Your welcome I am glad I could help. I am not sure how to get in touch with him personally. I did not speak to him before hand. I did all my research through people who had used him although I was very pleased with him after meeting him prior to my surgery in Tijuana. He is so very sweet and compassionate. He loves to answer your questions and is very concerned about your well being. He is a genuinely compassionate man and his staff displays the same attitude towards you.

The fact is you will probably never know exactly what happened between Dr. Kelly and the coordinators. I used obesitysolutionsinternational.com for Dr. Garcia and was totally happy with the experience. Dr. Garcia is a wonderful doctor and his staff is truly some of the best people I have ever seen. I am totally happy with my experience and would not change anything. With that said Dr. Kelly is also from what I have heard a great doctor as well. You will not make a bad choice with Dr. Garcia or Dr. Kelly. Do not let someone that will not be involved in your actual surgery deter you from making a decision on a surgeon. Either one would be able to change your life for the better. I have personal experience with Dr. Garcia recently on May 7th and he was very imformative and compassionate. He did a great job. I am happy with my decision and cannot imagine going to anyone else. I hope this helps and I am sorry you experience with an unprofessional coordinator has made you doubt Dr. Garcia and his capability. Good luck.
