Where are you having your surgery? With only 40 pounds to lose you should be at target pretty quick after surgery.

I have no clue if that state will cover weight loss surgery. I do not believe my state does (Oklahoma). I am going to Mexico for my surgery (using my tax money). I hope you find out your answers. Your doctor will probably know the answers.

I do not feel anyone was bashing anyone. There were no personal attacks on Omar. She was just stating what has happened to her directly. This forum is for information to be shared in order to help make sure people are making informed decisions. If there is something going on especially with a money situation I would want to know about it. I am glad your experience has been a good one but not everyone has that same experience. It is good to know if you won't get your deposit back easily simply because some people do change their minds and do not have the time or money to wait. She is trying to help not bash I think she was misunderstood. I am glad you had a great experience with them and I do pray she gets the same treatment. There could be a communication problem and I hope it is cleared up quickly.

What got me here was eating, eating, eating, and oh eating. Oh I didn't get much exercise either lol. Good luck and I hope you find something that you can eat I know not being satisfied is horrible.

I agree. I am not sure the circumstances in which you changed doctors but Dr. Kelly I have heard is a great doctor. I just happend to get in touch with Dr. Garcia's team and went with them. I had a hard time getting in touch with anyone for Dr. Kelly because of all the crap going on so my gut told me to choose Dr. Garcia. You have to be confident with the doctor you choose because ultimately that is the one you will be trusting to remove your stomach.

I am fat girl so do not take offens to this. I used to often wonder how a picky eater becomes over weight. Then I realized how picky my niece was about what she ate but she is a big girl. She only eats sweets all the time. Cake, candy, candy bars, cup cakes, ice cream, and drinks tons of whole milk. I am an all you can eat girl love love love food especially fried foods. To answer your question: I do not know what to tell you because I love vegetables and salads its just unfortunate I like bad foods to go with it and I eat a lot it seems. Maybe you can try things because I heard your tastes change after surgery. Good luck.

What do you mean pretending to be a patient? Do you have a direct number for Dr. Kelly? I would ask Trish what you should do and what they normally do about a refund. She should be able to tell you what the turn around time is for your money to be returned.

Yes on May 7th and I cannot wait. What are they telling you about your deposit? That would make me very angry.

If the surgeon cannot be trusted with the preop diet then I surely would not allow them to cut me open and remove my stomach. If you do not understand the medical reasons why a doctor does something just be proactiv and ask. I am sure they have a good medical reason why they are doing what they do and if they do not then find a new doctor that you think has a good reason for the preop diet.
