    Eating Myself To Death

I have found the closer I get to the preop diet the worse I get. I originally lost 5lbs at first because I was like I need to eat healthy but then I went into mourning lol. I have gained 2 lbs so I don't know. I am going to enjoy my little funerals definitely. I have to say goodbye to the bad bad stuff somehow lol.

    Biotin?

I started taking biotin about 1 1/2 months along with a good multivitamin. I have my surgery on May 7th and will continue with the biotin. I have noticed an increase in hair growth and it feels a little thicker. I am trying to prevent hair loss so have done some research. You have to take in 70-90 grams of protein a day, 50mg of zinc, and make sure you get enough iron in order to prevent extreme hair loss. Taking the biotin is a bonus.

    Eating Myself To Death

Yeah soda is not a problem anyway. I like water or tea before soda. I love the protein shakes so that won't be a problem. I am going to be so sick of food by the time I do this I shouldn't care lol. I am having my fried food funerals one a time and I really do not want to ever go back to eating like that. I am so happy you are doing well. I am so excited to change my life and feel so much better about life!!

    Eating Myself To Death

I will be omitting things from my diet after the sleeve. I will not be eating fried foods, bread, ice cream or soda. I will be watching what I eat very carefully. I do not want to slow down my weight loss or not lose all my weight. That scares me that I will stop losing before I am ready. Thats great you are eating what you want and are happy with your sleeve. I want to be happy with mine but I am a little nervous.

    My Story Of Weight Loss.

20 lbs in 14 days is amazing. That is not slow its great. Positive attitudes give you the energy to keep going which causes more loss. This is a great choice for yourself. I start my journey on May 7th and cannot wait. I have done my research and feel that I have all the ammo just need my weapon lol. I am sure you will do great!

    Eating Myself To Death

Thank you. I have gained 3 lbs but I feel so bloated and miserable but still can't stop craving everything lol. I am planning places I want to go eat before Monday when I start my preop diet and it is making me feel guilty. I just going to do it and get it out of my system like you said. Thanks for help. Eating Myself To Death

I know I see things on TV and say oh my I need to eat that before I have surgery because I won't be able to after. It is like I am having food funerals one meal at a time. It has to end or I am going to have another 50 lbs to lose lol.

    Frozen Yogurt In Shakes?

I think it would depend on the calories and carbs you are adding. Are you talking pre op or post op?

    Dr Garcia's Patients

Its for revision patients only so he can check out the band and see what he has to deal with during surgery. We will not have to have anything extra like that done.

    Marriott In Tijuana

I am going on May 7th to be sleeved by Dr. Garcia and I heard the marriott was wonderful. Urisboo72 just came back and posted a review of Dr. Garcia, his staff, the hospital and the Marriott. This should help with some of your questions. In Topic: To Those Sleeved By Dr. Garcia In March - How Are You Feeling?

    Any Shorties?

When is your surgery? Where are you having it?
  18. 2bsmallagain

    Any Shorties?

Wow that is great. How did you do it? Do you mind if I ask how you were when you were sleeved?
  19. 2bsmallagain

    Any Shorties?

So you were sleeved in Dec 2010 and reached your goal in May of 2011? Your ticker says reached your goal in May 2010 but that couldn't be possible if you weren't sleeved until Dec lol.

    Any Shorties?

I am 5'2" and weigh 225. I am having my surgery on May 7th in Mexico!!! YAYYYY!!
  21. I chose Dr. Garcia and am totally happy with my choice so far. I have spoken to tons of people that have been sleeved by him on this forum and on youtube so he is a good fit for me. I am sure both surgeons are good but you have to make a choice based on your own gut feelings. That is the only way you will have peace with your decision. Good luck and I hope you get your answers quickly so you can start your journey. My journey begins on May 7th and I am so excited and happy. My choice was also between Kelly and Garcia but I felt better about Garcia. He was the better choice for me but he may not be for you.
