So How Many Of You Guys Want To Actually Get Down To A Normal BMI?
hvmontoya replied to Proud2BMe's topic in The Guys’ Room
I’m happy at mid 225-230 I’m a size large in shirts which fit nice and fitted, and a 36-38 pant size. I work in a prison and don’t want to be too small. Plus the wife likes me at that size, so I’m good. -

I want to be at my pre marriage weight of 210 im about 20lbs away. The chart says like 160 but that's too skinny I think.. -
My doctor cleared me from pretty much everything 8 weeks. Got sleeved in May down almost 70lbs working hard so I have a couple beers with the guys every so often. Just be careful when you do drink I can no longer drink angry orchard without getting a stomach ache. Also I drink so slow my beer usually gets warm before I finish it lol...

Idk if your replying to my post or not but I'll reply. All of it is post surgery. The weight is just flying off. I'm constantly moving averaging over 6k steps a day. I'm eating every 2-230 hrs with last meal right around 6 small constant meals. Average about 800-900 calories a day. I have had a few stalls, longest stall lasting 1 week. Typical day of food will be 6am usually a protein shake or nutrigrain bar, 8am some sort of fruit, 10 some nuts or jerky, 12pm couple hard boiled eggs, 2pm usually some watermelon 4pm whatever my wife makes just small portion about 4-6oz depending what it is. 6pm usually fruit, jerky or nuts.. I know it's not a balanced diet but that's what I eat.

Band Removal and Sleeve in one surgery ... what should I expect?
hvmontoya replied to Allie1958's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the band to sleeve revision. It was the best thing I had ever done. I was miserable with the band as I would eat and throw up with the healthy food but could easily eat the crap food. I'm blessed with my federal employee insurance and paid 300 dollars for everything. But average price is about 4500 dollars in Mexico, some very reputable doctors I personally had Dr. Salas for a full body lift and removal of thigh skin which was done when I had lost weight on my own prior to the band ( which was worthless) or sleeve. It has been the best thing I have ever done. I'm a little over a month out and down almost 60 lbs ( if I'm not mistaken). After surgery I was really weak for about 2 weeks but could have managed working at home.. good luck -
Anyone start losing more weight once they hit soft solids/introducing regular food? This weight is flying off 1 lb a day. Hit my month about a week ago and just 45 lbs from my goal weight...

hvmontoya replied to rosstheboss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

Band Removal and Sleeve in one surgery ... what should I expect?
hvmontoya replied to Allie1958's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If everything is normal in there expect a quick revision. I wasn't so lucky my band had slipped so high up my esophagus not to mention the scar tissue was all around it and to top it off the band was a French band Dr had never seen before, 1hr surgery turned to over 3 hours. Month out though I'm good and 50lbs lighter! Just started soft solid I can eat everything no stuck feeling but I do get that full feeling loving it. -
Was too gross the taste went away from my mouth as soon as I became more strict on taking my vitamins. Still dropping weight like crazy.
-
I'm worried I'm gonna stop losing since I just started soft solid today. Doubt it considering 1 month out I'm down 50 lbs. but still worried. What's your daily intake looking like?
-
Doctor allowed me at 4 weeks and today at 6 weeks he said I could have a monster lol... had a monster the flavor was not the same. Just started soft solids today as well.

Struggling with the sleeve...normal?
hvmontoya replied to XRolemodel85X's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you don't feel good, just call your doc. I never got any of those symptoms but I don't know what's normal and not. -
What should I have AT HOME immediately after surgery
hvmontoya replied to Half-Tum's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Scale, small 4 oz containers, little spoons, get the protein samples because what you like now you might later -
That's intense leave the same day no way I would have been able to. I guess it could have been since I had a revision and the band was unknown to doctor so what should have been 45 min turned into 3 hrs. But I wasn't good till the next day
-
You should be fine, I didn't need much help for anything. I did sleep a lot so be warned lol

What was the biggest surprise for you at or after surgery? What do you wish you had known?
hvmontoya replied to sunmeadow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surprised how painless it was, and how quick I'm dropping weight. But shocked at how weak I'm a month out. Maybe it's because I'm still on purée diet. But it's getting better -
6 weeks out as of the sixth and get to start soft solids what's the proper measurement of what we can eat. I been doing 3.5-4oz but read people post things about 2oz. Is this more of a personal thing?

Question regarding weird color spit up
hvmontoya posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So last night ate some ricotta bake got sleeved 6 weeks ago this sixth of July down 50lbs. Following diet on point.. even with a somewhat conservative plan compared to many. Anyways last I woke up feeling like I was choking I messed up ate a little later than I would have like I went to bathroom didn't throw up but spit up brownish sour coffee grind type stuff.
