Nikki613 replied to futureskinnypants's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have heard of women meeting up in Vegas at some sort of bariatric surgery convention or something? Anyone else heard about it? -
I havent had surgery yet....but I sure hope after losing some weight it will get better. Seems like the more weight I have put on the heavier it has gotten :-(

I have worked over 1250 hours but was a temp for 5-6 months of that before going perm I am using all 7 of my vacation days for my time off. I do have another 5 days sick time if i feel i cant come back. But i am now worried that my job wont be safe if I have any complications. Anyone else habe some insight?

Anyone Else Not Qualify For Fmla?
Nikki613 replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am planning on being back to work 8 days after surgery. I have a cubicle job. I am sure it will be exhausting at first and I plan on letting my boss know that it will take a week or two after I am backfor me to be in full swing fast pace again. I was just hoping that the fmla covered me in the event I have any complications that could keep me from returning. My department doesnt handle someone being out more than a day or two before things get behind. In fact when I put jn for my 7 vacations days my boss wasnt going to approve it but did when I told her it was for surgery. Makes me mad that they havent hired enough people in our department so that we can all take our vacation/personal time without us all having to work so much overtime. I almost bet my boss will ask me to work every weekend after coming back. not sure how that will go over. -

female only Scared I Will Resent My Husband For Treating Me Differently After....
Nikki613 posted a topic in The Gals' Room
I am worried I will resent my husband for treating me differently after losing weight. When we met I was much thinner and I definately notice a difference after the weight gain. I am worried that when I lose the weight he will start treating me differently and pay more attention to me especially when we are out in public. Anyone have that issue? Can anyone offer some insight? -

Post Ops: Have You Ever Got Denied Approval Because You Had No Comorbidities But Where In The Weight Range?
Nikki613 replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My expierience was a nightmare. I called to check the status every couple days and got a different story each time. paperwork was in the wrong department, then it was in the right one, then it wasnt. They had everything they needed then they didnt. I was so confused. Then they denied me saying they didnt receive the clearance letter / second opinion. Honestly i think that was BS. I had three different opinions I only needed two. Then my coordinator refaxed and they said I would know in 2 days. I kept calling every two days, they kept telling me 2 more days. Eventually a week later they told me I was approved. They told my coordinstor I wasnt approved. this went on for a few days then finally my coordinator got the faced approval. -
I have a ninja and it is wonderful. Mine came with individual size cups to blend in.

Myn insurance coordinators told me when I was submitted that Cigna is by far one of the most difficult and I may be denied initially but not to worry. They were right! I was denied but then approved after a reconsideration. Took about 19 days. I am scheduled for surgery in one month. I am sooooo glad she didnt tell me until after I had been through the process, I would have given up and not comtinued had I felt there was a chance I would be denied! I hope you get a Speedy approval and we are both on the losers bench soon! -

Nikki613 replied to Groovinchikin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i have Cigna. I was approved about 19 days after first submit. it was long and agonizing. I suggest calling every couple days to check on your status. I was denied at first, they said they were missing a second letter. I would also suggest searching the forums for Cigna. There are lots of topics about them Good luch and best wishes!!! -
i made sure I was wearing heavier clothes and drank a bunch of water so I was over the 40 bmi. I have Cigna insurance. I was aporoved with no problems other than the 40 bmi.
