  1. Today was my 1st fill a little scary but I got thru it. Here I'm thinking no more liquid diet then my surgeon turns and say 1 1/2 day of liquid diet I'm like c'mon Dr but I guess he wants me to make sure I'm not throwing up. One thing did happen during the fill that scared me was he put in 4cc and the fluid was stuck on my chest and I started gagging he losen it and I was able to swallow (whew) I not tryna rush my weight loss because of the summer. But I do wanna lose a nice amount
  2. Actually it didn't hurt at all they numb you 1st, it's feel like when your getting your blood drawn. I was amazed how fast and painless it was. I worked myself up for nothing. And trust me I don't like needles it was cool.

    My Fitness Pal

I use fitness pal since I got banded in feb, I love it because it helps me keep track of my calories and the best part is when you can scan the bar code on the item you wanna eat and it tells u the calories and you can decide if you should eat it. I also add my work out to it and it calculates it into your day. I also use endomondo it's another app that helps you keep track of your work out and it breaks it down for you where u walk jog and shows a map of where you were.
  4. Thanks guys I was unprepared but next time I will be more prepare I guess I was a little scared of what was about to happen then to know what's will happen after the fill and what to do. I'm glad I got it over with so I now know what to expect the second fill.
  5. Thanks for shedding the light on this for me because I didn't know, next time I will have a list questions ready. Because he didnt explain why once I starting drinking the water he was out the door
  6. Really is this after every fill because he fail to tell me that
  7. I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op I walk 2 to 4 miles 5 days a week. I have lost weight but it's not drastic where I can stay motivated. I'm trying to not think about it as much, but can't help but wonder if this lap band is gonna work. The bad thing is I'm tired of telling folks that its a work in progress cause I can't do aerobics til I see the Dr in 2 weeks. The bad thing is they have me on a time line that is making me upset, cause they wanna see how much weight I dropped. I just don't know what to do at this point!!!

  10. One of my many, I have my mother in law over for a couple of days. She does know I have the band but how inconsiderate of you to make this huge Sunday dinner sit in my face yum yum good good licking finger and turn and look at me with my protein shake and laugh. Now I know I might just be emotional but I ask how can I get over people in general that know I have the surgery bufunery. I can't ****** everyone that makes fun of me because I'm on solids help just ranting!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Wow! It's hard telling family of the decisions you make in life, especially if they don't understand why. Truthfully I only told a selected few in my family and friends. I feel everyone doesn't need to know. Your decision is just that YOUR'S and some family don't want to hear why because they feel surgery is a cop out not knowing your battles that you deal with day to day. Good luck keep strong and no matter what if you feel it in your heart this was the best decision don't let know one tell you different!!!!
  13. Congrats that's awesome keep up the good work!!!
