Just want to wish you luck! It’s gotta be hard not having the support you need. I’m hoping your revision goes well. I’m having an endoscopic suturing revision for my sleeve that was done in 2012. I lost over 100 pounds and got pregnant a year out. I’ve gone up and down for the past 10 years but never back to my lowest and now I’m close to my high 😩. Hoping for a reset.

Gastric Sleeve to ESG Overstitch?
New1 replied to NapaGirl's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I came across your post and I was wondering how your weight loss is coming after having the ESGr? I am having it done in February and I want to have realistic expectations. -
Need encouragement that not everybody gains back all of the weight they lost after gastric sleeve
New1 replied to hopeful333's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I do think that some regain all of their weight back. I am positive you can lose regain, but it is harder. There are some promising studies coming out about assistive aids for post-sleevers which may not require another surgery. In my opinion, the obese brain is much like other addictive brains. Just like some have an easier time kicking other bad habits, some have an easier time creating and maintaining a successful lifetime regimen of healthier eating. It is really important to build a supportive team and an encouraging network of people who can help. I got so wrapped up in looking better that I forgot why I needed the surgery. I got pregnant and lost my father and I spiraled from that point forward. For anything this hard a routine is key. I thought I had stopped feeling much restriction- until a colleague that works with me (in an adolescent eating disorder clinic- go figure) asked me why I never finish my food and why I always have to take most of it to go. What I had been doing is eating til I was full and then grazing at home. I'm trying to be more vigilant. I'll let you know how that goes lol. -

Revision after Pregnancy
New1 replied to Tx.Doll3's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I had my son in June of 3014 and I feel like I have no restriction at this point. I went from 147lbs to 222lbs and I'm sitting at 186lbs for about a year now. Any advice? -
Awesome! Thanks for the inspiration

Any March 2012er's in the building?! I got down to within 2 lbs of my goal weight and got pregnant. I gained 71 lbs and I'm currently down 30 of that 71 lbs at 6 weeks post partum. So I've got about 45lbs to goal again. Wondering how others are doing.

I think veggies may do a lot of good for you if you can tolerate them. Eat your protein first then fill up on veggies and water, that way you may not need to decrease your food portion but you get rid of unnecessary calories.
-
You also may have lost some pounds of the IV fluid that usually gets pumped into you during surgery.
-
Your weight loss seems comparable to many others this early on. It will more than likely slow down and you may even experience a stall in the next few weeks as your body readjusts. Good luck.

I was close to goal before having my baby and I was still curvy but I was soft even with working out I didn't have much muscle definition. I'm working on that this time.
-
I lost tons of hair about 3-6 mos post op. But I always lost hair after any serious stress. Physical or emotional. It all grew back but I just had a baby 2 mos ago so I expect some fall out starting maybe next month.

Death of my husband 7 weeks today and up 23 pounds since January.
New1 replied to Lisa's Hope's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Lisa, I'm so sorry to learn of your beloved husband's passing. Peace be with you. I too underestimated what a loss might do to my post goal progress. I am finding it very difficult to get my head and my heart back to some sense of normalcy. I don't have any advice just wishing the best for you. -
Just keep doing what you're doing. I was just telling my husband about how frustrated I was when I had my surgery and stalled at 3 weeks, 8 weeks, and periodically throughout the first year. I ended up losing 100lbs in the first year. I'm trying to encourage you but me too because I'm hitting my second stall since giving birth 7 weeks ago and I still have another 50 lbs to go. Stay strong.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Ditching the protein shakes
New1 replied to crazzeescrapper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Atkins shakes are palatable to me but the protein is lower so you have to factor that in.
