    Slider Foods

Anything you can eat quickly, that does not take up much room in your sleeve allowing you to eat larger quantities without feeling full. They usually don't take lone to digest and flow easily out of the stomach into your intestines allowing you to eat more and more calories. i.e. chips, cookies, candy, crackers, mashed potatoes, ice cream, soft breads, cakes, donuts, etc.

    Not Sleeved!

Aww that sux. Hoping that July gets here fast for you. Good luck!
  3. Ditto on everything said about the shots. I like the cytosport whey isolate drinks. They are super syrupy so I mix one 16.9 oz bottle with 16.9 I of water. I think the isopure is too tart and leaves a terrible after taste.
  4. Started at 260 and 214.8 today.
  5. I was down 35 pounds at 10 weeks. I'm 12 weeks out and down 45 pounds now.
  6. Praying all works out!!!

    Awesome!!!!
  9. I was sleeved 3/13. Started 260 Day of surgery 250 CW 217 So 43 pounds altogether. I am losing slowly but steadily. I can tolerate almost everything except tuna and hamburgers. The first 2 weeks on solids I was vomiting frequently due to overeating and eating too quickly. I still over eat too quickly more than I should but I'm working on it. I have had the toughest time getting protein in since going to mostly solids. I try to do a protein shake daily but even that's tough sometimes. I keep saying I'm going to do better with working my sleeve :-/. I'm grateful for my weight loss so far.

  11. I just had someone on Facebook post on my wall asking how I'm losing weight. I told them the truth. Calorie restriction. I eat 700-1000 calories per day.

Can't Seem To Get Off My Butt An Workout

I'm trying to rev my mind up to start exercising more. I just don't feel like it. But, that's no excuse because I don't feel like doing a ton of other things that I do anyway! Good luck!
  13. Sorry no advice, but support. I am having the same struggle at 7 weeks out. I am having a lot of work stress and my go to is still food. I'm not sure what to do to kick this habit. Maybe one of the vets here can provide some advice. I'm listening lol.
  14. I was told to take a chewable vitamin for 3 months and I was taking mine. It was chalky and started making me sick to my stomach so I started taking a gummy kind and I can take those on an empty stomach and feel ok. My nutritionist said that gummies are not usually as good but I figure taking a gummy is better versus taking nothing or taking something and vomiting.

    Restaurant Card

I have just been ordering whatever I want and then I have to ask them to bring a box after 2 bites or if it's something like soup I just eat what I'm able to and then push it to the side. They always ask if I didn't like it when I push it to the side lol.
  16. I'm so glad I saw this post. I thought it was just me. I have pcos with irregular periods usually no periods. I had surgery 3/13 and on 4/5 had spotting then a 2.5 week long period. I thought it was my birth control (seasonique) so I stopped it. I guess I might start it again.

    Complications

The nurse is praying for you too girlie. God bless.
  18. Wondering if anyone else has a hard time with waiting 30-60 mins between meals and drinking? Since starting solid foods it is even harder because I find myself having to choose between the two and getting dehydrated.
  19. I'm trying to make an eating and drinking schedule and stick to it.
  20. Thanks for the responses guys. The only thing is that I'm not sure im eating anything new or different, meaning I didn't advanced my diet and then start feeling more restriction I'm still doing puréed/soft. I am eating tuna salad and scrambled eggs for the past two weeks (no new proteins introduced) and I was able to eat 1/3 cup of each last week and only 1-2 bites this week (in 30-45 minutes) so I'm still a little confused which is my only rationale for doing liquids for a day or so. I'm trying to listen to my sleeve and I'm not sure it's telling me to eat slower, it feels more like don't eat! I mean I just woke up and I feel like I have already eaten a whole turkey I'm so bloated and full and I haven't eaten since 6pm yesterday.
  21. I Am almost 6 weeks out and I had been feeling better week by week but starting this week I have been extremely full and can not eat more than two to three bites of ANYTHING. I can drink ok but no food. I am having the longest period of my life too and I'm constipated. So, I'm not sure how much of a role bloating is playing but I feel terrible and I've thrown up after several "meals". I guess I go back to liquids until this clears? My heartburn is getting worse also. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks!
  22. Just wondering how long everyone's pre-op diet was/is?
