Hey yall! Im on soft solids and have been told to bring deviled eggs to easter next month to our family get together. My question is i usually top my deviled eggs with a thin slice of bread and butter pickles and some with a thin slice of olive. I slice them about the thickness of a poster board. Is that ok to eat on soft solids?

Its not bread, its a flavor of pickle, they r yummy! Do u think id be able to eat a thin slice of pickle or olive? :-)

We use low fat mayo, cant tell a difference. :-)

My doc told me with this surgery you have a high risk of kidney stones especially if you get dehydrated. It might be a kidney stone.

I was sleeved on the 6th and i still get moments of extream tiredness. Where i have to lay down cause i feel so tired/bad. I think its just our bodies still healing. My husband was sleeved the same day and he gets tired too. The night before last he took a 3 hour nap at 5 pm.

Yay!!! I have PCOS and im so excited for you! Do yall know if loosing weight will shrink the cysts on the ovaries? I have a 4cm cyst and a 6cm cyst on mine! I hope loosing weight will let them shrink and not rupture, if the can rupture.

You guys i am on an emtional rollercoaster and feel so alone. :.-( both my husband and i had gastric sleeve surgery last tuesday and since then i feel all these sad/strong sadness inside and anxiety. I miss food, i miss going out to eat with my family and they had a party last night and could not go because i cry when i see everyone else getting to chew and enjoy the food. All my activities before surgery revolved around food and eating with my family and friends. My husband locks his emotions inside and doesnt talk about it. But i just cry and i want to get out and take a walk or ride the four wheeler but its been raining since surgery and we cant ride dirtbikes/four wheelers for a month. I feel like the biggest baby. :.-( im so glad i can get my feelings out on this web site and i wish i could snap my fingers and it be 7 weeks out and enjoy eating again like a normal person. I know we physically cant eat as much but its still closer to my normal life then this liquid diet. :-(

You guys, im having a ton of pain/discomfort under my left rib near my big incision. :-( im scared somethings wrong. Have any of yall experienced this? When im sitting still or laying down i have little to no pain. But moving, it hurts :-( no fever or vommiting. But it sure is uncomfortable.

My surgery was last tuesday. But the big incision is nice and clean with no drainage or warmth. I did do it over big time today! More then ive done since the surgery.

Yay!!!! You go girl! I know that scale will move soon! Our bodies sometimes stall a bit and then it continues to melt off again. Hang in there!

Thanks you guys! I know this is sad to say, but i think this is the hardest thing ive ever gone through. I want flavor so bad and the protein waters like nectar and isopure make me want to gag now and my husband made jello with protein powder and it was DISCUSTING! It had a salty ending to the jello and changed the flavor. Things that have helped me through today were healthy choice tomato soup and vanilla carb and sugar control yogurt. Do yall know if greek yogurt is ok?

Thank you! My husbund bought some carb control yogurt and it helped me a little because its something i was use to eating before. You guys are the best!

Im 3 days post op and scared of forming a leak or stricture or other complication. Would i know if i had a leak or stricture? I have weird little sharp pains every once in a while and have a headache :-( i am constantly worried.

Thank u for your reply! No fever, its been 98.1 and no problems keeping liquids down. I just feel feverish but im not running fever

I have been getting hiccups alot and chills and im cold all the time. Im scared :-(

HAd to stay an extra day in the hospital. My surgery was tuesday. But now that im at home i have this hollow feeling in my stomach that gurgles and am wondering if i have a leak. It feels hungerish and do yall have any tips on how to introduce cream soups now that we are at home. Im scared im not progressing as well as everyone else. :-(

I yall, I was sleeved yesterday and im VERY sore! And tired and nausiated. Did anyone else feel this way? I also threw up once and im scared i ruptured my stomach because of it :-(

Hi all! Im on my 1 week liquid pre op diet and my surgery is tuesday the 6th. I havent been able to handle the shakes (i throw them up) but my doctor said i can eat protein bars in place of the shake. My question is... Has anyone else ate bars on there pre op diet and Did there liver shrink enough for surgery and did anyone else feel horrible all over flu like body aches and tire easy? with as little food that ive consumed this week, my liver must be the size of a raison! Lol

I wish i could tomorrow but my husband wants to go four wheeling. I feel best laying down with a hot pad on my lower back. Im getting anxious and scared that somethings wrong :-( im a worry wart.

I wonder why too! I hate it :-( good luck wednesday! This pre op is the hardest part!
