Had to call 911 to save my own life. Nurses hid the buzzer & the controls on both sides of the bed did not work. I was in a lot of pain & could not call for help. I was bleeding internally. Could not scream. Could not bang on anything. Could not get out of bed. I laid there for only God knows how long before I saw the telephone w/the long cord. I could not reach the phone. Somehow I managed to squeeze thru the bars on the bed and grab the phone cord with my two fingers. (Thank God for Tall Man & Pointer) Then I had to rest. I fished the cord up then could not think of phone numbers because of cells phones. All we do is press Linda, Mom, etc. I did not even know how to get an outside line so I dialed "0". I gave them my name & said I need help now and I don't know what room or floor I am on but I am in their hospital and need help now. They said OK, we will send someone. Nobody came. I kept suffering. I called "0" again. This time there was no answer. I could not tolerate the pain anymore. I was fighting for my life. Then I called 911 and told them who I was and where I was. 911 Called the hospital and sent security to my room. Once I saw the policeman, I fainted. IT'S TRUE. PEOPLE DO HOLD ON UNTIL THEY SEE THE ONE THEY WANT THEN THEY GIVE UP. I filed a suit against the Dr and the Hospital and the Medical Review Panel said they did nothing wrong. In Louisiana, a Dr. can cut off your wrong leg & the max that you can sue for is $100k. They lied. The Lawyer & Doctors on the Panel "Threw me under the bus & watched each other roll over on me."

No, I had the Vertical Sleeve. Did not want the Lap Band. I was so hungary after ICU, I could have eaten a frozen dog. lol

I had the Verticle Sleeve. My Sister had it done & it worked so turned me on to her Doctor. We did not do the Lap Band because of the complications & costs to readjust the band. My sisters surgery was 100% Successful. She was back at work in 3 days. She looks great. However, she is now very upset, stressed to the max & is starting to gain weight. So, we are never out of the woods with these dang calories & fat grams. She was eating anything & everything but 1/6 of the amount and still lost 100 lbs. Thank You. I really do appreciate all the helpful people like you gals. This is an awesome site. I was ready to leave.

You hit the nail on the head. They deny it then call me names for flipping it right back on them. I do ignore them.... and they well know who they are.

I just pulled the receipt. I paid $272.00 Hospital Records No X-Rays Paper Only The other money for copies that I made fm Kinko's & a CD.

Me too! I am so grateful. She has told me more that I have found since the surgery in June 2010. She was definitely worth fighting for. Wow! She told the truth. Why couldn't my Doctor be honest like that? He never talked to me since I had the surgery. I do not even remember seeing him in ICU. He never examined me since. WHEESIN IS MY HERO! Standing Ovation! Thank you.

When I went to the hospital to get my medical records, I played stupid. I did not want them to know that I was going to sue them. I had to complete a form, then i waited for the records. I got them. It was like 10 pages. (another Louisiana scam) Then, I had to come clean & tell them it was for my attorney. They told me it would cost $350, and they asked if I would go talk to the Hospital Administration because they knew nothing about the 911 call. I did that. They asked me to wait a few days before I filed the suit. i did that. Then they said they could/would not help me. I have the records they gave me & nothing in it mentions the 911 call. Louisiana Doctors/Hospitals know "the power of the pen." So, at first they tried to give me a few papers with hopes that I would go away. I had to push and now I have to fight.

I am the one that has been attacked, called names like a Troll, a liar, someone needing attention, bragging, etc. Don't tell me what I can or cannot do because I will do what I want. I will say what I want as long as it is the truth. Yes, they were bullying me. They ganged up on me but I took them all on. Know why? Because I am telling the truth. Wow... Thanks for this information. No, I've never heard of that. Someone said I could have a blockage but I did not understand it. When I say spit, It's more than spit then less than projectile vomit. I often use a coffee mug when I am in public. It may look like I am sipping coffee but actually I am spitting up. Usually 1/4 of the cup at a time. May spit 1 or 2 times. Most of the time it is food. Sometimes it is liquids. BEFORE THE SURGERY: I was addicted to Diet Coke & I smoked a pack of CIGARETTES a day. I smoked for 35 years. AFTER THE SURGERY: I never drank a Diet Coke or Smoked a Cigarette since. All I drink is Crystal Light Ice Tea w/lemon & don't leave home without. My bowels are messed up too. (without going into detail) Not every day but I get Major cramping, chills & sometimes gaging fm a foul taste in my mouth. (I hate to put this in writing but I need the help so I have to be brutally honest) I had a complete physical, blood work, pap, mammogram. I do not take any Rx. No Diabetes, Blood Pressure Normal, etc. I don't exercise because I don't have energy. I am depressed. Tried every antidepressant but they made me sleep more. I sleep al ot.

Honestly... I had no idea that people were about to undergo this surgery. I never had a clue about this site & don't know how I found it. It was never my intention to hurt or scare anyone. I was seeking info. Knowledge is power. I blew this off until the LA Medical Review Panel insulted me with their lies. Now, I am on a mission to make sure that hospital pays up & it's hard to find a Lawyer to represent this case simply because they will have to work a lot & there is not enough physical damage to be awarded a lot of money. Even though I am now A Spitter. Grrrr After 24 hrs on this site... I do believe my problems were THE HOSPITAL. My mistake was...NOT HAVING ANYONE STAY WITH ME. Thank You

THANK YOU for your story. Thank you for backing me up with truth. I believe you. Why would you want to lie & why would I want to lie. Yep, a clear case of "Bullying" but I'm a strong, independent woman from the south who will stand up for a cause & fight to the end when I am armed with THE TRUTH. Thank God for the strength he has given to me.

THANK YOU. I am going to find another Doctor to examine me & tell me what is wrong. I just can't understand why I can't lose weight. If I eat too much, I throw it up. I AM NOW, WHAT THEY CALL " A SPITTER " This is a complication fm the surgery that a Nurse told me. Almost ever time I eat, I spit it up. That is not good.
