Thanks ladies I've been dying for some form of carbs in bread.

I Had surgery on the 28th of December. I was at 245 and now I am 218. My BMI is no longer over 40. Which puts me in the obese range instead of morbidly obese.
-
Yay im no longer morbidly obese!

Thank you guys! I can't wait to get out of the obese category. I have to get down to 163 for my Next goal to be just "overweight". -
I am 3 days post op and on my liquid diet. I was just wondering what a daily diet looks like 1-5 years from now.

Walked a mile in half on treadmill with 5 pound hand weights.

Thanks for the response! It helps knowing its not always going to be only water and protein shakes.
-
Thank you guys that was helpful. I'm so sick of protein shakes and water only. I just want a different flavor in my mouth. I still have 8 days to go:(

Sex has not changed for me at all. But I'm only 4 days post op. If you have lost a significant amount maybe it because he is able to penatrate deeper? That might be inappropriate but that's the only thing I would think that would be physically different down there.

I am feeling better. I'm trying to get settled in the liquid diet for the next two weeks. The only problem is I'm only getting in 42 g of protein instead of 60 but I am taking my supplement. Does anyone else get air in their belly when they take their drinks? I feel I always have ga in there.

I'm really nervous and really excited. I will keep you guys updated

Getting ready to go in to surgery!
R4TNM replied to R4TNM's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm doing great! It does hurt but nothing I can't handle. The worse part is the hiccups and nausea. At 8 I get my foley out and start my water and protein drinks. -
I look like the biggest mermaid ever!!!!!!!!! My favorite quote that is helping me make bad decisions about what I put in my mouth

Then I am sorry. I can not wait to be able to wear shorts! I have not wore shorts in 6 years. My legs need sun lol!

THis process has been such a long one. It started in January. I had my husbands insurance BCBS of Alabama. They do cover the surgery with 6 months of diet and excerice. You also have to have a 5 year weigh history of a Bmi over 40. So I did my 6 month of diet and excerice with tons of preop testing and even self paid for a psych eval and a EGD. We sent it to insurance and they denied me twice. My Bmi 5 years ago was a 39.8 not 40. I was so frustrated and upset. Then I told myself I'm going to get this surgery. I started looking into all the Mexican Doctors and places to have it done. My family was scared for me to go down there even though I did end up finding a good doctor there. I then came up with the idea of working full time instead of part time so that I could pick up Mercy insurance. So I did that and resubmitted to insurance they only require a 3 yr weight history. They said YES in one day. I still can't believe it's finally happening and Dr Roller was able to squeeze me in the year so I don't have to repay my deductible. My surgery date is Dec 28th. So for everyone starting out on the journey. Don't give up if you want something bad enough you can always find a way. I am starting at 236lbs and I am 5"2 P.S. "Time For A New Me"is what my name stands for.

Thank you guys! It had been a crazy ride.
