Thank you guys!! Day 2 has been better....so far haha! NSV means non scale victory lol don't feel bad I had to ask too! I got a call from sabrina this morning. My surgery has been moved up to 8 am instead of 10:20 & have to be there at 5:45 :-) Im first that day too.

Yay Meredith! Thanks for all the info! mimi, they told me he uses titanium staples :-) I started my liquid diet today.... Oh my am I struggling.... I have a splitting headache! I knew I would though bc anytime I don't eat... Here comes the headache. I REFUSE to cheat though. I am kinda confused why different drs have different preop diets? 2 wk of just liquids is insane to someone who is a foodie!! I have zero willpower so please say a little prayer that I can get through these 2 wks!!!

Hey Jani! so excited for you! I would guess you have started your preop diet? How's it goin? I start Tuesday & Im getting nervous!!!

I don't have any issues with sleep (Thank God) so I don't have to have a sleep study. One of his nurses, Lauren, said it depends on the patient but they ALWAYS do an endoscopy on everyone. Then depending on the patient do a cardiac test and a sleep study. Im assuming you haven't had your consult?

Oh!! Almost forgot I am 25, 5'5" & as of today weigh 245lbs... I was at 250 but SOMEHOW I have lost 5 lbs even though I have ate like a pig lately.... Anyway, that's me:-)

Thanks for starting this thread mimi :-) I start my 2 wk liquid protein diet TUESDAY! Im very nervous and excited (glad its finally here) 2 weeks of not eating FREAKS me out but I know I will follow the rules and do it. Im ready :-) I go to conway April 23, have my endoscopy April 24 then Wed April 25 @10:20 its game on! I will keep you all posted on how everything goes and I hope you all do the same!!

Newfoundlove - talk to you Dr about this. If you are that afraid of bloodwork being drawn, you def need to let your surgeon know.... Its major surgery. Not trying to scare you and YOU WILL BE FINE :-). But you don't need to suffer in anticipation of the surgery... Im sure they can give you something to help you relax :-) Praying always helps me when I get anxious! Good luck!!

Ok you are absolutely right :-) I hope your surgery goes great and you all can enjoy the time away :-) We have to keep tabs on each other through this journey :-)

Holy cow mimi that's A LOT for 2 weeks. I am staying at value place and we got the entire 11 nights for right at $400 Total! I know since you'll be there during tourist season it will be more expensive but that just seems crazy expensive.... Value place is 10 minutes to the beach and 3 traffic lights to the hospital. It's nothing fancy but its not a rat hole either lol.... Im so excited for us!!!

Has anyone been approved through crescent insurance? My mother is pursuing getting sleeved and her insurance isn't looking to promising in paying... Any tips or advise??? TIA!!

I was wondering if any of you had tried these and what you thought :-) I know everyone's taste is different but I figured id ask anyway before spending $ on something everyone thinks is awful... Hey Meredith! 1st congrats on getting married!!! It's wonderful having your best friend there beside you :-) Ok... Have you spoken to his office about the price? You may already have set all that up but I did just hear that they are no longer doing it for 8000. Just might wanna double check :-) I had my consult March 1st and set my surgery date that day which is April 25. It all happened fast for me. His nurse did tell me they were filling up fast but I HOPE things go fast for you too!!! please keep us updated :-)

Hey guys! Im so happy for us! I don't start my preop diet until April 10th and I swear the days are getting longer and longer! I feel even more self conscious since I got my surgery date... This waiting game is taking a toll! I know I just need to relax :-)
