  3. I have not gotten a date yet but I have some questions. Is it really necessary to purchase a blender? Also I hear some people say the protein powder shakes are not that great in taste. What is best for shakes because a family member had the gastric bypass and she only purchase the Atkins shakes which to me can become expensive. Also there is possibility that I might be starting a new job and I need the job just as bad as I need the surgery. So my next question is how long was you off work? I hate to start a new job and then request time off.

    Need Help With Some Things

Thanks everyone, I guess I will check out the magic bullet and some shaker cups. Also for those that work, I have been reading about the importance of Water and protien, how do you fit that into your day while working? Considering if its a public job? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S using VST

    Need Help With Some Things

Thanks for your thoughts. I have been slowly preparing for my sleeve. I guess I will have to cross that bridge about the job when I get there. I know it will require a lot of standing for long periods of time and some lifting. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S using VST

    Boobies

I love you ladies sense of humor. I have not had my surgery yet but I am also concerned about my boobs. I loss 25 lbs last year and my significant other told me my chest looked flat. Im in a 38D now but I dont want to be smaller than a C cup. I guess the boobs have to go on my list of things to plan for.

    Clothing

Macy's is one of my favorite stores but once I am able to buy smaller clothes (12 and smaller) I will probably start shopping there angain. I did buy a summer dress last year and I still buy there shoes but now I don't really buy shoes at all because I heard your feet get smaller...go figure

    Clothing

I was thinking I would shop at stores that are more cost efficient also.... I was telling my mother that buying clothes can get expensive even though I love shopping and have way to many plus size clothes...

    Clothing

buffalogal I am still waiting for my surgery date but I was told by a family member that had the gastric bypass to not buy clothes.... besides the ones I wear now is fitting rather snug these days. I wanted to by new clothes before I went to Vegas a few weeks ago but then I thought I better not because if the weight comes off rapidly that would be a waste of money. I would say for me I could probably lose 30 lbs before buying new clothers depending on how they are made. I guess the good thing is it will come off fast and slow for a while and then pick back up. My cousin said she started out with about four pants and shirts and she wore spandex for a good while as she loss. That's the beauty of being sleeved in the summer because I love dresses and I can probably wear them for a while.

So do I Denise.... I have some things that I need to get under my belt and I need this out of the way so I can get adjusted. KiKi my bmi is 39 and I have diabetes and high blood pressure. I'm 5'6 and weight 250. I hope mind come back soon. I have picked up 25 lbs in the last six months after losing close to 30 lbs. I just want to get the weight off and keep it off. Hope to get off the meds. The insurance paid for everything and approved right away, except for the psychologist I paid for out of pocket. I was mainly waiting for appointments. So KiKi do you have a date yet?

I was going to ask if anyone had BCBS of Cali abd how long did a take for the insurance to approve? I didn't have to have 6 months of nutritionist studies. I guess I am just anxious as I'm sure many of us are. My mother is suppose to flight out to be with me two weeks after surgery and we are just ready to get it over with.
