  1. Try taking small sips of gatorade throughout the day. You probably need the electrolytes! Don't worry about calories, you need them at this point. I hope things improve for you

    Dr. Kelly Is Awesome!

Ok, I don't do twitter but I am on facebook. My only concern is that NOBODY knows I had surgery! My sister and I told our husbands of course but that was it! Everyone else thinks we went to visit our cousin in SanDiego. If I join Dr K's fb page, will all of my other facebook friends be able to tell? This is why is didn't join Trish's page either, even tho I would like to!
  3. Sorry but I spoke to Trish yesterday and I am just upset on her behalf. Trish has a way of worming herself into your heart, lol. I was happy with the care I received with Dr Kelly and I had a friend who went with Dr Ponce and was very happy also. Now that I am on the other side I can say I spent way too much time obsessing over it:)
  4. Interesting....Omar was Trish's assistant a couple of weeks ago. I guess if Dr Kelly couldn't have Trish, he hired her assistant out from under her. Not cool.
  5. I had never heard of a resleeve but the day after I was sleeved Dr Kelly had a patient he was resleeving. I don't know who did her initial sleeve.

    Greetings From Tijuana!

I'm sure you are sleeved by now. I hope it was uneventful and you woke up with NO nausea! I didn't have any but my poor sister was miserable. Sarah was such a great nurse, so sweet! Tell Dr Kelly Dianne and Kristy say hello! Now its time for you to start walking that hallway!
  7. You forgot the part where they dragged you out of the van and strip searched you!lol
  8. When the cravings hit on the pre-op diet I ate the Kozy Shak sugar free tapioca or rice pudding. They are in the dairy case and yummy. They go down very easily now that I am post op too. I can only eat half at a time now!
  9. My husband was the same way about Juarez! He goes there for business a few times a year and travels with an armed guard. Maybe he goes to the bad part of town, who knows??! But I didn't want him to worry about me since he was staying home! I went to TJ and was suprised at how nice it was, not what I expected at all. I didn't just stay inside the gates of the beautiful hotel either, Trish took us all around, shopping and to see the sights. I think whever you decide to go, you will be safe and well taken care of. We are big business in these border towns !
  10. I have been feeling so good the past 2 weeks I decided the post-op diet was just more of a suggestion! I got a little tired of full liquids and decided to have a few teaspoons of peanut butter. I literally broke out in a cold sweat and thought I was going to lose my cookies a few minutes later. Maybe these Dr's really do know what they are talking about. Hello chicken broth.......
  11. As a short term solution you can try Medifast. I have done it several times over the years and dropped #30 easily each time. It would also get you in the right mind frame for your pre-op diet. I would get soooo sick of it after 2 or 3 months and the weight would come back on. As a short term solution to get your approval it would do the trick!
  12. @Seannie.....Kristy is doing good. She is not thrilld with her weightloss so far but hopefully it will pick up for her. Tell your mom I said HI! It was so great having her along. I swear I haven't laughed that much in a long time!
  13. Seannie! My fave sleeve sister (don't tell Kristy, lol) Hope you're doing great! I'm down 18 as of this morning. Hoping to make it 20 by next week:)
  14. So happy for you. I will pray that you have the same wonderful experience that I have had.
  15. If you want to call or receive calls w/o spending a fortune, yes. As soon as we crossed the boarder into MX, I got a text message from Verizon saying calls going in and out would be charged at .99 a minute and text messages .55.
  16. I was sleeved almost 2 weeks ago on 3/9. I had a great experience and feel great. I went back to work on Monday, am walking everyday, have never felt sick or in pain. I'm mostly still on full liquids but can't wait to move up to mushie stuff:) I'm sure you will do great with a little extra planning and care:)
  17. I would talk to your Dr about cutting back on dosages until you see how your body responds. It would be better to correct a hi than bring up a low when you may have trouble getting anything down. The mom in me is worried about you! I have 2 type 1 young adults of my own!
