How many calories are you getting in?

How much have you lost all together? Your tracker shows you have lost about 70 lbs an that you are 21 lbs under target. Did you have the surgery with the plan of only losing 40 or 50 lbs?
  3. Why not just tell them you are having a surgical procedure, and you wish to keep your medical issues private as you have a right to do. They have to right to question what type of procedure you are having. It is up to you to share as much or as little as you want to.

You are very beautiful, and have done such a good job on your pre op weight loss. I know you will reach your goal with no problems!
  5. Great job. You will reach this goal in no time, and your next one soon after! Keep it up!

    Newbie Here

I am using Dr. Scott Stowers in Decatur, TX. I have BCBS of Minn. and am having to complete the 6 month evaluation. They have been great about taking care of everything for me. A friend of mine used them and have had good success with their sleeve. I have not had mine yet, but hope to by the end of May.
  7. DH is sure hopping I get that boost, lol.
  8. I agree, you do not need to surround yourself with those that are not going to be supportive. You will find other supportive online friends on the site here. Congratulations on all your hard work, and for doing so well.
  9. That is over 100 lbs in 1 year, plus if you are working out hard, and building muscle, you will keep it off better. Plus losing it slowing is suppose to keep your skin from sagging as much. Keep up the good hard work.
  10. I'm just getting back on. I hope everything went great for you. Keep me up to date on how you are doing.
  11. I am new to the forum here, and about 4.5 - 5 months out to surgery. I did my first dr. visit the 8th of December, and have to be on dr. supervised diet for 6 months prior to surgery per my insurance (BCBS). So far have not lost on my diet, but have increased my protien, and started slowly on some exercise. I am planning to have my surgery in Decatur, TX, by Dr. Stowers. Anyone have experience with this facility??? At this point I am excited and nervous. Hoping I have made the right decision. I have had friends so far that are supportive, and those that have to tell me every horror story they know. Some that tell me of friends that have been very successful, and of course all of the failures.

    Where are the 50s ???

WOW you are doing great. Doesn't sound like you should have any problems reaching your 6 month goal.

I think I will be about 2 months behind you on getting sleeved. I also have to weight the 6 months and I am 2 months down. It is a good time to get in the habit of small sips, small bites, crew thoroughly, drink plenty of water, give up coke zero, exercise, etc. Hopefully the 6 months will have me well prepared to have the surgery.

    Where are the 50s ???

Hi everyone. I am in my mid 50's. Hopefully will have my sleeve done in late April - early May. My insurance requires 6 months of Dr. supervised diet. That gives me time to get all of my other paperwork lined out.

    You look absolutely stunning.
  18. WTG - You lost really well pre-op. I have not done so well on my pre-op so far. I still have about 4 months to go, however, so hopefully I get going on this.
  19. The BCBS plan my company has requires 6 months dr. supervised diet. I am almost finished with month 2.

    My Weight Loss Journey

Thanks for sharing and best of luck on getting to goal soon.

I Hope I Did This Right.

I have to do the six months. I am almost finished with two months. 4 to go, then I will fill out your poll. This is required by my insurance, not my doctor.

    My Journey Started

I started my 6 month pre-surgery diet with my first Dr. visit December 8, 2011. I am about 1.5 months down now. I am using this time to try to get use to adding protein to my diet, increasing my water intake, some exercising every day, and cutting out my vice - Coke Zero's! I am also using this time to try to find out everything I can about having the sleeve surgery.
