I'm looking to be Dec. 18th. That is the only day that I can conceivably get it done! School complete on the 17th on the table on the 18th. Oh what joy!

Everyone who has responded has pretty much stated what I would share. I completed my 6th visit in June. but get this, I have to wait 4 months more, due to school and work schedule, but it's by choice. So waiting can be good. I will say depending upon your doctors i.e. Med, Surgeon, NUT...you may need that time. Take the time to get things that you need...a little at a time. Plan your meals, plan your excercise routine, etc. I have learned patience and patience is what you will need after the surgery is complete. Your tool will work, but you may have some slow periods, some stall periods...how will you exercise your faith then. Yet I understand that everyone is different. Trust, the time will go by quickly.

I believe presented in a different manner you husband may come around. Because this is major surgery, he may have some apprehensions as to the outcome. Try to broach the conversation differently, if you can by asking open ended questions. Explain that this is the better choice for a long, healthy, happy life with him included. Ensure him that the physical benefit will be for the both of you. The health aspect will be yours. It may be an ego thing...it might not be. Only you will know as you know him best. As for support, this site and a few others do have those who will get you through, but it's nothing like the support of your mate. Let him know you really want this and you will be more at ease if you have his support.

Though I have not been here in a long while, it is good to know that words of encouragement still flow for those who need it. I'm happy for those of you who have had surgery. I still have a few months to go due to my school and work schedule. All things being well and the Lord says the same, December will do it for me. God Bless!

I plan to join the December Sleevers. I finish school on 12.10. maybe I can have surgery on 12/12/12. I think I will schedule for that day. My paperwork should be sent this week for approval.

Hi, I haven't been here in awhile, but I had to stop in and say that I purchased my Tagine last weekend. I caught it on sale at the store. So happy to have it and can't wait to start creating.

I want to purchase one, but have been afraid to because of the weight restrictions. However, my classmate is a personal trainer and strongly suggested the trampoline to me. Let me know how it works. I still want to purchase one though.

I don't know if anyone has this product, but if so I read on Medco's website that's product along with Excedrin and NoDoz were being recalled. These are for products with a 12/20/13 expiration date or sooner. Just an FYI. You may also check www.fda.gov for more info.

Favoredone, we have something in common! Yay! Dr. Cahill is my surgeon as well. But I see him in Dyer, In. There was a gentleman there who had his surgery where you did with Dr. Cahill. I too liked my visit with Dr. Birhahu. Hope I can share more of your satisfaction when I finally have the surgery.

I'm saddened to hear this especially since she was not overweight. I know that that insurance companies differ in certain criteria, but thought there would at least be specific critieria for a minor. Bless her heart! I hope things turn around with you and your husband. Much success to you.
