Meet in the middle at about 1000 per day and you'll be fine. Each body is different. I aim to not exceed 1000 a day my self...with a goal of 800

Yea relax and make sure you're not eating sugar and processed flour. Drink plenty of water and no soda. These are big key things to maximize weightloss I've found.

Never fear. You've hit whats commonly known as the "3 week stall". During this week to two week period, you will see very little to no weightloss but you'll start seeing INCHES come off you. There are numerous posts on here about the three week stall you can search and read on. Just have to wait it out and keep doing what the doctor told you. I lost two pant sizes during my 3 week stall. So keep an eye on the inches!

if you are doing the required water intake, the sodium will be removed from the body. I've been doing the no carb diet since being sleeved and taking in TONS of sodium. My blood work last week came back fine on sodium levels. This is another reason why water is key. Flushing out the bad!

Is it odd that I'm actually eating a Wendy's chili while reading this? No joke! Once you're at the state of tolerating it, Wendy's chili is grand. High in protein, high in fiber, and low in fat.

fluffy things can expand... especially if they come in contact with water and digestive juices. Also, some people grow a lactate intolerance briefly post op. You may have did a double whammy with a fluffy food and a milk product...just gotta keep testing to see what works. When I did soft foods I really liked the greek yogurt, soups, puddings, and jellos

Ha this is going to be one of the most baffling things you're going to go through. I'm down 90 pounds and I haven't realized it mentally. Yes I'm in much smaller clothes and yes people are giving me OMG when they see me...but to me I still feel like the same ole me. I guess that could be because I was a "healthy fat person" before surgery and felt fine and still do. Maybe one day it will settle in but till then I know deep down I'm healthier and I'm back to my studly looks

Ok I've learned this trick..and its bad and I need to stop doing it. If you take a 20oz bottle of soda....shake it real hard...and gently release the pressure out...about 4-5 times..it makes the soda completely flat of carbonation and goes in with no bloating. I've been doing this a time a two with the new Pepsi Max....someone tell me stop haha. Mind you I never had any issues after surgery..not even pain from surgery or food. Weight loss has been above average so far and I guess I'm treating myself with a flat soda here in there...but someone should slap my hand here.. Worm

Here are the chewables I take that are great so far.. Vita fusion Multivitamin - I take 4-5 gummies each morning...sold at walmart and sams club. I alternate bottles with the Centrum chewable Multivitamins cause I get tired of the taste of those Vita Fusion Power Vitamin C - Taste like orange gummy candy - I eat 4 of those each morning Vitamin Shoppe (or other brand name) Chewable Calcuim with Vitamin D and K - Two chocolate chews each morning but the carmel is MUCH better Rest of my daily vitamins: sublingual b12 liquid B1 in pill form D3 in pill form and thats it!

Whats Your Opinion In Lipton Green Tea?
Mr_Worm replied to sallynew's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I live on the diet Lipton green tea citrus and mixed berry -
Depends on the type of carb. Sugar carb vs other carb. I personally have been doing a zero sugar diet and its increased my weight loss tremendously (90 pounds in just over 3 months). This is essentially an atkins diet. No bread, no fried foods, no soda, no sweets. Lots of lean meats steak, chicken, fish. I do all this with a max of 1000 cals a day with working out at least twice a week with a trainer at the gym

Yea sounds like a misunderstanding there. Preop your stomach holds 1.5 liters of food, after it will hold 4 oz...not 4 cups
-
I would be very cautious taking a water pill after a vsg. We are already at a higher risk of dehydration so I would consult a doctor

So...I weighed in at 298 today. Whats it called once you get out of the 300s? I know if you get into the 100s its called "one-der land" So what are the 200s? Super Twos? Discuss......I haven't been under 300 since I was a freshman/soph in high school (I'm 32 yrs old now) I'm down to a size 38 waist from a 46. Down to a size 3XLT shirt from a 6 XL. Down a size 14 shoe from a 15. Total weightloss from being sleeved on 1/12/12 is 90 pounds now. NOT TOO SHABBY!!!
