Help, I Just Don't Understand!
Mr_Worm replied to Anamor2011's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
for me, if I don't buy them and have them around me..then I won't consume them. No carb is the best way to maximize the weight loss. No sugar, no processed white flour, and no carbonated beverages. If write down your weight on a calender on the same day each week, you'll see the benefit of having a healthy week. This makes me want to turn in a better number week after week. Monday's are my "log" days on my wall calendar. Turned out to be a great motovator -
Carb Or Low Carb...that Is The Question?
Mr_Worm replied to hollirrose's topic in Food and Nutrition
Low carb all the way! no sugar, no white flour, no soda, no carbonation. I've lost 100 pounds now in under 4 months from it. -

I Can Drink A Lot More Than 4 Oz.
Mr_Worm replied to pinkiguana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
not possible to bust a staple. You would have to be so full to the point of crippling pain before that even could happen. Liquids pass on through. You're fine -
That could be because thats a major gas producing food

Too Much Activity?
Mr_Worm replied to elizabeth12677's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like the incisions under the skin in the abdomen wall isn't healed yet. Just need to keep that in mind for a few more weeks. It does all go away...and pretty fast -
the taste for sugar changed for me..mainly cause I cut it out of my diet. Sweet things turn me off now...which is actually a great thing
-
Its more of eating till you feel full of the RIGHT food choices.....this will ensure you stay within calorie goals. Personally, I would have stuck to the chicken and shrimp only. Cake is a gateway ...evil food
-
there are lean meat items I still have now post op. Things like chicken terryaki, sushi, grilled fish, shrimp, and crab I'm still having. Mind you I avoid battered and fried versions of that. Also, I used to be a big Lo Mein fan, now the noodles swell up in the tummy and they make me full uncomfortable...so better watch out for the noodles!

This sounds similar to me. I was 390 when I started. How tall are you? Age? if you don't mind telling.

For Guys Who Are At Least 4 Months Post Op
Mr_Worm posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Any other guys out there finding out you can eat and eat things without issue BUT you're still losing weight? Anyone else doing no carb like me? I'm living off of meat, wheat thins, cashews, and right now I"m munching on some BBQ Pork skins (who knew they were high in Protein, low fat, low cal?) I never had any issues with moving back into solid foods after being sleeved Jan 12th. I probably advanced much more quickly than what I was suppose to but I never had any pains or food intolerance's. Hell I can drink and eat together to some degree and can chug a bit still. Maybe I'm not mentally realizing that even though I'm eating more frequently, the quantity and the food choice is totally different than pre op? Anyone else noticing this? I'm still losing on average of 5 pounds a week like this and I'm right at 100 pounds lost since Jan. W -
The lawyer would collect fees from a winning verdict. Sometimes just the threat of a lawsuit will fix the situation..
-
The Insurance company would be the primary party to sue since they led you to believe you were approved, sent you through the 6 months of hoops and wasted your time. Be sure to pull all documents you've received showing anything that showed approval or hint of approval.

Time to lawyer up

Yea you can still do SOME cardio..but it doesn't have to be your primary. I still run on a tredmill for 30 mins THEN lift weights. Its my warm up

Bodily Function Post/question..you Have Been Warned!
Mr_Worm replied to Piplula's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I went through this phase to. It passes and I found out it was some of the soft foods I had been eating with artifical sweeteners (for me it was sugar free pudding) that were causing the issue -
I'd still add in the protein liquids either in the form of the 3oz protein shots or protein shakes. It promotes lean muscle mass and helps the body adjust to the change
-
For me, weight training to keep the body toned was most important. This ment no so much on the cardio. Also for guys like me, I wanted to prevent the muscle mass loss so I wouldn't become a weakling..
