Hi! My surgery was 4/9 and today was my 1 month+ post op visit to my doctor. I'm cleared now for everything. No restrictions.

I'm 6 wks post op. I get a pain in my left shoulder if I eat to much or too fast. It's definitely my signal

Yup. I can tolerate about as much. But I try not to.

I wouldn't deprive yourself (or your daughter) from going. It's more about spending the time with her. Not the food. I wouldn't stray from your doctors orders. Maybe bring a protein shake or a snack you can eat.

I make my chili in the slow cooker. All my meats. It's hard to mess up a crock meal. Meats come great.

I'm in my 5th week post today, so me, my hubby and my cousin ( all sleevers) went to lunch. This is my first dining out since surgery. We went to our favorite diner. Figured I'd have more 'sleeve friendly' choices. So I ordered a lunch special, it was chunks of chicken with onions, mushrooms and feta cheese. Omg was it delicious. But it was HUGE. It came with Soup which I gave to my husband. He is only 1 week post. My cousin had a large Greek salad with grilled chicken. So we're done eating and the waitress comes by and sees our barely eaten meals. Looking puzzled she asked if everything was ok. We said oh yes, delicious. She gave us a cockeyed look. Lol. We wrapped our meals to go, and I just made 4 more meals out of my $10.00 lunch!! I love my sleeve!!!

I have fake nails. I was told mail polish is fine, but stay away from red.

Anyone use this? I'm 9 days post and will try anything not to lose my hair. Or at least lessen the loss. My cousin has been using it, says it's helped.

I was on depo about 7 yrs ago. I got my first shot and I bled every day for 3 months. Not good!!!!

Anyone know how much a case of the premier protein shakes are at Costco? I don't have a membership but I'll be hitching a ride with my cousin and thought I'd check them out since most seem to really like them. And how many come in a case.

Oh. Did I mistake sams for Costco?? Hmmm. That's not good. Lol.

I feel ya!! I just posted this same issue on here earlier today titled 'cranky bitc...'

You don't feel the restriction as much with soups. Which is why my doctor doesn't even want them part of my diet when I'm on full solids. This is my last week on mushy. You will feel the restriction when you progress to more solids.

So I'm 3 1/2 weeks post and have noticed that I have a very short fuse lately. I've never been a moody person. I find myself yelling at my 6 yr old daughter for every little thing. I'm not happy about this. I feel like my hormones are out of whack. I don't feel depressed. I'm so thrilled with my decision and my progress so far. I just all of a sudden feel grouchy all the time. My daughter called me mean last night. . Like a knife to the gut. That got me and we need to fix this. I'm so not mean!! Lol. What gives ?

Omg there's so much you can have on this stage. I'm still on my puréed. I eat tuna w a lil mayo. I put it in my mini food processor to make it extra creamy. Delicious. I do the same with chicken. You can have fat free refried beans with some shredded cheese. Delicious. Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese. Pretty much anything you would be willing to purée.

Love it! My boss( who is a guy) tells me every few days how awesome I'm looking. It's such motivation for me. He knows what I had done. I lost a llot of weight prior to surgery, so people were already noticing. I love when people are NOT afraid to say ' wow you've lost wright, you look great!' music to my ears

I bought milk of magnesia today. I have miralax too. I just took the mag lets see if it works.

I can no longer hold the car steering wheel In place with my belly! There's about 2" in between now :)

Lol @ stink inducing!! I've def been a lil more ripe since I started this! Thank god I noticed before anyone did. #mustsmellgood!
