I would just love it if when you clicked on someone's profile picture, it would enlarge and be able to be zoomed. Sometimes people post their before and after pics as the profile pic.

If you're not the gym type, what to do for exercise?
ShouldBlittler replied to takingbackcontrol's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The most effective kind of exercise is the kind you DO. You just have to like what you are doing, and so stick to it regularly.... -
I had my surgery June 20th of last year. I have 7 pounds to go to reach my goal of 100 lost pounds. It is hard to stay motivated. What are some thoughts, ideas, or stories that motivate YOU in your weight loss? I'm hoping we can all get some ideas to cling to when the going gets rough...

I had surgery June 20, 2012. I was 215 pounds. I am 5 foot tall. I was wearing whatever would fit... Which was NOTHING! I now weigh 122 and wear a size 2 or 0. My goal is to be 115. I hope I can get there.

I am 5 foot tall and 122 pounds, down from 215. My secret fantasy goal is 115. I wonder if I will be able to get there. My bones and muscles are not of the teeny tiny variety. My surgery was June 20, 2012.

I think it is hard to adjust my mind around this new weight. Truthfully, I don't feel THAT much different (maybe it's because I just thought I was an awesome person even though I was 100 pounds overweight... Ha ha). I have 7 pounds to goal and those 7 feel like the whole previous 93 to me...

My husband's surgery was June 4th of last year. My surgery was June 20th of last year. He has lost 120 pounds, and I have lost 92 pounds. Just tellin' ya!

I had surgery on June 20, 2012 and I have lost 91 pounds. I have gone from a size 16 to a 2. I am 5', and went from 215 to 124. I still would like to lose 9 more pounds, but I do not know if it will be possible. I am pretty small...

This site has been my main source of support since before I had my surgery on June 20, 2012. So far, I have lost 88 pounds, and I'm thrilled with the results. I have not had a terribly difficult time, but it has definitely been work. I am watching what I'm eating, and I am working out regularly. Overall, happy with the surgery so far. I wanted to lose weight for myself, and my health, yes. I have a husband, and three small children who need me. A secondary reason that I wanted to lose weight was that my mother had cancer and was very worried about my high weight. So I am thankful that my mother has seen me lose weight, and is also happy with my loss. My mother is now dying. Hospice is coming on Monday to meet with our family. My main coping mechanism has always been eating. I don't drink, I haven't smoked in 8 years. Now, I have not been eating to cope with stresses. My workouts have been helpful, especially my yoga routine. So why am I posting this? I guess mostly because as I said, this site has been my main source of support for a year. I am distraught, and heartbroken and needed to put this out there. My family is extremely close. This loss will be devastating. I talk to my mom three or four times a day, and get together with her every weekend. How are you coping with life's stressors? How are you coping with the big stresses of life? Any tips, help, or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you... I am having a hard time with will power, I must admit...

Thanks. That IS TRUE. Tonight I was eating and eating.... I am afraid of this slippery slope!

Funny how perspective changes everything. This part of your post jumps out at me now. For some reason I didn't fully grasp "never coming back." Now I do.
