    Still Taking Meds....?

I still take my bp meds. I am currently 3 months out. Saw my pcp last week and after a 52 weight loss he was surprised that not only did my blood pressure not go down, but he now needed to add a beta blocker for rapid heart rate.
  2. I am three months out and I ahave not excercised... not once!!! And I have finally hit a stall. Since surgery, I have lost 54 pounds but have been stuck for two weeks. I know I need to become active but I am so tired when I get home. Here is what my schedule looks like. Monday - Saturday 5am- I have one hour... wake up, get ready for work, try to get some Breakfast in and make breakfast for kids and make sure they are set to go for school before I leave. 6am- hit the road and fight downtown LA traffic 7am- begin my day. I am a phlebotomist so I have to run from patients to the lab all day. Guess what??? Im not allowed to have food or drinks in the patients rooms or lab. This makes it very hard to get my Water in. So I try to get as much in during my lunch 4pm- Clock out. And Im hitting the road by 430 to pick up my daughter and take her to cheer practice by 5. 5pm- Drop off daughter and head out to pick up my son 6pm- Pick up my son from practice and head home... more traffic 645-7pm- home and time to make dinner. And now I see my hubby. 8pm- clean up and help kids with homework while my husband does laundry and takes care of bills and such. 9pm- Im so tired now, I shower and watch some TV because this is my only down time and maybe I can get a few hours of sleep. If anything is thrown in, I am running behind by a good hour or so and sometimes dont go to bed till about 10:30 or 11. but that only gives me 6 hours of sleep and who wants a sleepy needle coming towards them??? scary Sundays we try to make it family day because we are so busy. But also sunday is our grocery shopping day and my only day off WELCOME TO MY WEEK I now know why we ate so much fast food. I know I need to excercise but really I am so tired
  3. Was scheduled for v day but was postponed till next day on the 15th. I am 54 pounds down and have been at a stall for two weeks. I had some complications at first but I feel better now. Still getting used to all the changes.
  4. Boss just offered to buy McDonalds for lunch. I swear I started having an anxiety attack as the paper went around to write down your order. I had no idea what to write. So I ordered a grilled chicken snack wrap and an iced tea no sugar. Please tell me I made a good choice. I need to be prepared for next time. I never thought of going to McDonalds again but here I am in a situation where if I say no thank you my boss takes it personal. Advice please

    Which Scale

I had a follow up appointment with my surgeon. So after my appointment, I drove to Walmart and stepped on every scale until the weight matched my surgeons office and bought that one. Silly, I know. But I got tired of so many different numbers.
  6. Thanks guys!!! I was surprised how filling that was. I did not eat the entire tortilla but did eat about half of it. Everything settled pretty good and I'm still sipping on my ice tea. And with all your posts and support I now feel pretty good about my choice. It feels so good to be able to eat with others and feel part of a group
  7. Thanks ladies. I guess next time I can order it no sauce. I was in such a panic that I couldn't think. As far as carbs go, yeah me too. I eat so little that I really don't count carbs either.
  8. I am currently three months post op.
  9. ok... Here it goes... I just really need to vent. Having major regrets. I know I may get bashed for this. But it's ok. I have no where else to vent. It may all be sunshine and rainbows for everybody else, but for me, it's been hell. At nine weeks out, I still can't tolerate solid food. I'm upset and jealous that I can't eat. I'm sick of protein shakes, soup, and yogurt. Yes, I have lost weight but who wouldn't on a liquid diet for this long along with vomiting??? Now I'm going in tomorrow for another endoscopy to find out what the issue is. My Dr is very concerned but I'm ready to give up. I am hating life. I so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I honestly wish I could rewind time and get my tummy back.
  10. I just sent you a request on fb. I'll add you. My name is Renee Reyes

  12. Ok, I just got home from the surgical center for my endoscopy. They found a kink in my stomach that's causing me to be sick. I have to wait for the final report to get to my Dr so he can decide what he wants to do. But the Dr today said he thinks the only way to correct this is by gastric bypass surgery. He said that when food hits they kink, it immediately comes back up. And thinner liquids like water causes the acid reflux. this is why I'm only tolerating yogurt, shakes, and soup. I am to continue with my ppi twice a day and to continue trying to get my protein shakes in... Yuck. But until we decide what's next I'm still on a full liquid diet. Nothing more.
  13. Same here. I ended up unliking because my husband sitting next me said ”hey, you like sleeved 2012”. I was like what!!! Nevermind... Unlike
  14. I just got a coupon for this. Has anyone tried it??? It looks like juice and comes in different flavors. But I don't want to buy it if it's not worth it. Let me know.
  15. Has anyone tried the Kelloggs Special K protein water??? I like the idea of having the powder packets in my bag whenever I'm out and about. Any takes on the taste??? I know 5g of protein isn't much but plain water has zero so I figured any little bit counts and it has fiber so I thought maybe.

    Gaining Weight On Pre-Op Diet

Im sorry, I know this isnt answering your question but, your bmi is only 30??? Wow! I would love for my bmi to be 30. But lets see if I can help. I think if you're following your diet, you'll be ok. Don't get discouraged. We all went and go through ups and downs on the scale. Just keep doing what you're doing. You'll be fine.
  17. Will I have to chew till its mushy forever??? It trends to gross me out. It takes forever to eat anything. I take itty bitty bites, chew chew chew till there's nothing to chew anymore, than I have to wait about two minutes and hope it stays down. Will I eat like this forever or will I ever take normal bites like I used to???
  18. Lol... No, not inhaling. Just bite, chew, swallow. And not having it take me an hour to finish half a scrambled egg.

    Still Throwing Up :(

He thinks it may be. I have many of the symptoms. But what does he mean they may have to stretch it??? In my case their is no eating too much or too fast. It just always happens. I constantly have a foamy feeling in my tummy. And even the smallest amount of anything comes right up.

    Still Throwing Up :(

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! Just came from doctors and here's what happened. Explained the vomiting and the foamy gassy feeling. He upped my antacid and hopes it helps. But says at this point I should be tolerating much more than I am. So he seriously thinks my sleeve is too narrow. Sending me for an endoscopy and states we may need to ”stretch” it. What does this mean????
