What Food Comes After Liquid Post Op Diet?
Paola replied to Kareforme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow I finish my 2nd week and go into my 3rd, I have a doctor's appointment and they will change my diet to blendables foods like beans, creamier soups, sugar free yogurt, and sugar free ice-cream along with my protein. I love soups, but I am missing the veggies that go in it. The following week its purees for me and then, finally regular food. -

How Long After Surgery Did You Take Pain Meds For?
Paola replied to OilSooner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What they gave me for pain never worked on gas so I only took it the first few nights. My incisions hurt some, but I rather not take any pain meds, its bearable to me. -
Full Liquids...but Some Hurt!
Paola replied to Joiebean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Liquids were really hard for me for about 1 week, then on the 8th day it was like magic, I could drink and drink. My diet is a little different from yours, my first week was juice and broth diluted with Water, this is my second week and its the same but without diluting + Protein shakes, and next week its blended Soups and creams things with the consistency of yogurt. Even though I find that I miss chewing I think my diet is giving my tummy the chance to heal really well and the gases are not bothering me. I find that sometimes I forget to sip and I gulp, and boy does that hurt! keep up the good work! -
Thank you, I am doing fantastic!!! I love my sleeve =)

I was sleeved last Tuesday, and was on my way home by Thursday. My first week was a little harder than what I expected because 5 days after surgery my period arrived and it left me so drained. This cycle kicked my butt, harder than surgery. Nevertheless, today is my 8th day post op and I feel great, the only thing I don't like is that I feel full all the time, but I know its because my poor tummy is still recovering. I've had gas pain, and been nauseaous, but I don't regret this decision for a minute. Cheers to a new life!!! :biggrin2:

Why Do People Try To Defeat You?
Paola replied to Paola's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you all for your words! I know my dad did not mean to hurt, and I am not letting any negativity hold me down. @Lissa- I don't work at a car loan company, why? Today is a great day, I got on the scale and realized I am down 10 lbs =) I can't wait to confirm it in my doctors scale on Tuesday. Who would have thought I would look forward to get on the doctor's scale? I love my sleeve!!! :biggrin2: -
My surgery was 1/10/12, and my diet currently is full liquids. My concern is that the 17th, this past Tuesday, I was so full all the time, it would take me 1 hour to drink my 4 oz of broth, but all of a sudden on Wednesday I can drink and drink no problem. I know in my head its not possible I have stretched my sleeve, but is this normal?

From September to the en on October I was eating only veggies and meat, it was all cooked with as little fat as possible. All of November and December I was on Protein shakes 1-2 a day (no carbs in them) and 1 meal at night. The meal was the same as the previous months, veggies and meat.
