Sorry, I hit the wrong button. Anyway yesterday I had another fill of 1.5 cc's. So now I am at a total of 9.5 and it finally feels as it should. Tight, and limited to intake. I guess I'll see some good weight loss now!

Hi all, i hope all are doing well. I had surgery on 12/24/12 and have had a number of fills since. First one was 5cc, then 3ccand just yesterday

Maybe it could be your fluid intake, you do need to drink lots of water. Also I was told by my nutritionist that for a 1000 - 1200 calorie diet I should have 100 carbs per day. Hang in there!

I was banded on 2/24/12 with a "Realize" band that holds 11cc's. My first fill was 5cc's and I noticed nothing. Two weeks later (last week) I went and had another 3 cc's added (a total of 8cc's now). I finally feel restriction! we'll see how I do over the next month to see if I increase it. Good luck to everyone on their journey. Keep posting!

I'm on the road until Tuesday, so I will weigh myself when I get home and keep you posted. I'm hoping to have hit "onederland". I will say that I really feel the restriction if I don't chew well. I had my first bad, real bad experience with pain from it. I'm kind of glad it happened cause I was worried that things didn't feel tight enough. Lol. How are you doing?

well I can definitely say that I'm feeling restricted (2nd fill), but I don't think it's quite enough yet. I'll see how I do in a month and discuss it with the doctor after seeing what my weight loss progress is. Keep in touch cfalbro and let us know how your second fill goes. How are you doing girleyq?

I managed to lose weight from the day of surgery, but it was real hard fighting the urge to eat. Then when my first fill of 5 cc's didn't give me any restriction I started getting depressed and ate everything. Sad, but true. It's been only two weeks since my first fill and I'm glad I went back today. Good luck to you, lets hope we both find our sweet spots soon. PS: I also added you as a friend, not sure what that means (I'm new to all this web stuff,lol) but we'll stay in touch for sure.

Awesome job! I am so looking forward to ONEderland. I have 5 pounds to go, maybe in a week. I just had my second fill. The doctor added 3cc's to my already 5cc's on my first fill making it a total of 8 cc. I'm hopeful that I will feel some restrictions now. Congrats to you on your achievement!

I have a 11cc Realize Band also. Today I had a second fill and he put in 3 cc's more. A total of 8 cc's now. I am on liquid again today and mushy food tomorrow, so Thursday will be the real test to see if I am having restrictions. I do believe I feel different this time around though. My first fill of 5 cc's gave me no restrictions at all. Keep us informed as to your progress!

I would like to thank you all for yor imput. I have been feeling like a failure, but now i realise that I am just in need of another fill. I desperately need to fine my sweet spot. I have right now 5cc's and i thought that was a lot. My band holds 11cc. I thought maybe my band had a hole in it. Again, many thanks.

My BMW was borderline too and I had a 6 month wait with my bcbs. I opted for self pay because I knew my BMI would not cut the criteria at the end of a six month wait. My surgery was on 2/24/12. Good luck to you!

Hi, sounds like your doing great. My surgery was on the 24th of February. Have you had your first fill? I did, the dr. put in 5cc's. No restrictions yet. I'm kind of bummed.

I must say, I feel the same way as Toddy. I have had one fill, 5cc's and feel absolutely no restrictions. I go again on Tuesday for another fill. How are you doing now Toddy? What is your total fill cc's now and has things changed yet for you?

I had my first fill a week ago (5cc) and I think I need to go back. I don't seem to see much change on my consumption amount. That can't be normal can it?
