Deb, I totally agree with your top drs and I have watched many of his YouTube videos. I also agree with why you chose Dr K,, I chose him for his locale as well, after I determined his ctedentials to be superb. I would have gone to Mexicali, but I felt more comfortable in a place I was familiar with, and knew how to get to in case I had a complication. And I'm so very glad you are my friend

Thanks what worries me, is how im going to break gim of this habit! He's already expressed worry about me "getting skinny" and leaving him...I told him he wont get that lucky lol I lost a lot of weight 2 yrs ago, and that issue never came up. Hmmm

My surgery is June 10th

Okay, so since my hubby has been home with a bum knee (2 wks) he makes several trips a week to the local mini mart (less than a mile away) and he ALWAYS brings me home a 33Oz diet coke, and usually a hostess cherry pie or a king sz twix! He's killing me!! I told him please, no more! Even if I ask for it! Monday I am 7wks from surgery, and im hell bent to lose 15 pounds before my 3 day pre op diet. Please pray he will stop sabotaging me lol! I ate a big bowl of hamhocks and beans tonight til I made myself miserable. Good lord help me!

So, I was hoping that the outfit I came in would also double for the going home outfit. I was going to wear my yoga capris and matching shirt. I think I will get another set in a bigger size, just for added comfort. I will throw in a pr of Jammie pants, and a nighty for the hotel, and a sundress,and call it good. What do you y'all think?

Oh, gosh I'm so sorry you are going through this! Do you have another birth cert? If not, I would suggest going down to vital statistics and paying the twentyish bucks, and have that for back up to get over the border along with your drivers license. That's the cheapest, most feasible option I can come up with!

Jn, I was thinking about an extension cord with a few pkugins on the end, glad you said it worked. I dont want to get carried away packing for ever situation my crazy mind can come up with. I was wondering if there were laundry facilities at the hotel lucerna?

I have told very few people just because they are mosyly uneducated, and I do not want to hear their ridiculous rants. My aunt, who I asked to go for my support, was very reluctant, even though she was considering this 4 years ago. Now, she and her daughter are going with me. We will all be sleeved the same day. We will be there just before you with a different Dr/facility, but I believe you are in good hands, and I wish you and your wife much success!

Thank you ladies! I will throw a box of crystal light in, and the heating pad is on the list! Im going to be making up a surgery basket for my aunt and cousin, so c.l., chapstick, gasex strips, and a heating pad will be in there. Since we will have two rooms between us and I think I will be the only one bringing any tech devices besidrs a phone, I may throw in a power cord. Did any of you pack a bigger bag than a carry on? With 5 days there, plus all of our extra goodies, I cant imagine it all fitting! I will try a test run! Lol
