How Are All The June Sleevers Doing Since Surgery?:
cissiesue replied to Addison's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Today is 2Weeks post op. First week I was tired, but had no pain, and could sleep on my sides with no problem. I never had to take any post op pain meds, nor did I have any nausea, vomiting, etc. my only issue was directly after surgery, when my blood pressure got sky high, but they gotbit under control quickly. I was up and walking two hours after surgery, with no problems! now, at 2wk post op, I am sick of broth, & protien shakes. I have tried a little cottage chrese but o get quite a bit of gas, so im eating that very sparingly, only if I cant get a full feeling in my yummy. As of this morning, I am down over 22 pounds total, and thats with "aunt flo" visiting. I have a hard time getting in fluids, and am about 500 cals daily. I hope all of my other sleevets are doing well! -
Sleeved And Doing Fine!

Casa de mole was across the street, it had flags in orange, green, yellow and red. I guess it could look like a tiki hut, not sure if its the same. How are you doing? It was very nice to meet you as well! -

Sleeved And Doing Fine!
cissiesue replied to cissiesue's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
We are now home and fully rested from our mini vacation! It truly felt like one! From being treated to the best soup, shopping and pedicures as a gift from the Dr., I couldnt ask for a better experience, or a more highly skilled physician and team. Lucernas broth has nothing on casa de mole's connsumme! -

Headed To Tj 7/4/12
cissiesue replied to heatherinoregon's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Heather, I understand your anxiety concerning your child. I have 3 younger kids, and one that's technically grown (still my baby ) and I didnt want them to worry needlessly, and adding to my anxiety, so they only know that im going on a trip. Plus I dont want them blurting out to my mil about it, so she can blab all over the valley about me, lol. I fly out tomorrow, and my nerves are on high, but I am confident in my surgeon, and I just have to give it to God. -

She can tell you more, or just keep scrolling through, and you will see lots of great stories. Dr K and his team are top notch, he has done tons of surgeries, and revisions. Just Wondering About Tijuana...
cissiesue replied to Tia Noel's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
From what I understand from my paperwork from Dr K, is that you can pay with a credit catd but there is a standard 3% fee on top of the rate. I was told they ptefer a cashiers check, but they will certainly work with you to make this possible. -

Down To The 3 Day Clear Liquids Phase!
cissiesue posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
So, I have been on the pre op diet for 11 days, and have done pretty well. I've lost 13 pounds in those days, and I cheated once by eating a few bites of pizza. I felt so guilty that ive been to the letter since. Now, with the 3day clear liquids, I guess its just broth tea & jello? Im an hour from any gnc stores, so isopure is out of the picture. Does anyone have any tips to get through these last days? -

Down To The 3 Day Clear Liquids Phase!
cissiesue replied to cissiesue's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Yes, the jello is a lifesaver! Ive already done 11 days and the last three is just clear liquids, no shakes! Mie, crystal light, broth, and jello for 3 days sounds crazy, but I'll.do it somehow! -
Try drinking the Jello for a difference, I do cuz cold jello doesnt fill me up, but the warm does

Get the small pkgs of the Walmart brand of sugar free jello. Its 20 cals and 4gr protein! Mix it IP according to the directions AND DRINK IT! warm liquids are more satiating than cold drinks or food. It has saved me from cheating many times! Get the wm brand because it has half of the calories as the brand name! Save cals and change, win/win lol

I would speak to a jeweler and ask him how small your rings can be sized down to. I know some settings cant accommodate drastic downsizing without side jewels popping out
