3 Weeks Out, And Already In A Stall...

It makes sense, because the calories you get in the first weeks aren't really enough to support a lot of exercise. I was wondering if my swimming had played in my stall... -
3 Weeks Out, And Already In A Stall...
cissiesue replied to cissiesue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally agree Deb! I do not weigh daily, I only weigh on Mondays and Thursdays. I have changed my habits as much as possible in this early stage. We are at the same stage, and you have lost a bit more than me, however, I dont know your bmi, age, height, etc. I know all of us are different, and all of us lose at different rates because of different factors. Im not beating myself up over the stall, just looking for advice from all of you kind people! Thanks for the oep talk -
3 Weeks Out, And Already In A Stall...
cissiesue replied to cissiesue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great advice! I do measure almost everything! I decided to go back to 2 protien shakes a day, and no more potato salad ( I fed it all to the the dogs, lol). My biggest problem is getting in my fluids. Im going to make an earnest effort to up my fluids by a cup every few days, til im at 8 a day. I know that over 25 pounds in two weeks is great, but this stall for the last 9 days, sucks! -

I feel ya, since last Wednesday, I havent lost but a pound, so I wait a few days, weigh again, and im up a pound, and the vicious cycle continues. I was really hoping to be down 30 pounds by my 30 days out, but that's not looking like it will be a reality :/ -
When They Say Walk Walk Walk... How Much?
cissiesue replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would just walk the halls when I had gas that wouldn't move. I honestly didnt think I walked all that much, but every one is different and there isnt a set amount of walking, just what you feel like you need! -

Traveling To Mexico Today. Surgery With Dr. Kelly On 28Jun12
cissiesue replied to SunnyCox's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I was sleeved by Dr K on June 11th, and although I do not work outside the home, I was well enough to do all the house chores and keep up with my 3 young kids, right after sugery. My aunt (who is in her mid 50's) went back to her job, seven days after surgery, and has done very well. She did have to start using protien at ten days out, but other than that, no troubles! You'll do great! -
I just started a couple days ago. Its a mushie, just like cream of wheat, not supposed to have either until day 22 according to our diet. I havent had any today, and im going back to what yhe diet says, because I want desperately to succeed!

It was wonderful to meet the three of you! I really wanted to be there for you girls, not that you needed me, but just to continue in my support. -
Help Me Decide: Dr. Kelly Or Dr. Garcia? Anyone Have Any Input?
cissiesue replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Both are hood surgeons. I went to Dr Kelly for a few reasons, but the main two were, credentials, and experience. Dr. Kelly's credentials and expirience were head and shoulders above Garcia. Not saying anything negative about Garcia, just that he's less experienced and his credentials dont match Kelly's. Dr. Kelly is a phenomenal surgeon. I had little to no pain after surgery, and his aftercare while I was there was impeccable. His staff are all caring and gentle. Plus, his assistant, Omar, is a wonderful friend, bodyguard, chauffeur, etc while you are there. I really liked Dr. Kelly's American credentials. Being a part of the prestigious FACS, and belonging to the American Bariatric Health Association, spoke volumes to his dedication to his profession, and his specialized clientele. -
My family and I were sleeved on Monday, and each of us had a different experience! I had very little pain, my aunt had a little trouble coming out of anesthesia, and my cousin, had lots of gas pain and freaked out a bit, but she's never had any major surgery. Right now my aunt and I are relaxing in the lobby of the beautiful lucerna, until our ride arrives. My cousin went into town with cecey to get somr new sunglasses. Everyone is great, the broth at the hotel isn't great like the others have daid, but we have been spoiled by Omar. He has taken us every dau to casa de mole for luncj, amd their soup is beyond great. Dr Kelly is phenomrnal, he treated us girls to a wonderful pedi, and spent lots of time visiting and answering questions. Never had any trouble really. Great experience.
