    Any More Sixties?

Good morning everyone! I too wish I would have had the surgery sooner. I think of all the things I missed because of my weight and it saddens me. But the past is gone - great things in the future. Some time I will share my story (if you don't already know where I started) but for now .... have a fabulous Friday and enjoy your weekend!

    Where are the 50s ???

funny thing about being cold: Before my surgery, I was always hot...only used a sheet at night; never wore a coat, if anything it was a vest; seemed like I would never cool down. Then I went to the WLS seminar and was told that along with hair loss, my body temperature would fluctuate... I could become "cold".... Unlike the hair loss, that stops, body temperature does not usually change back.... Well, you can imagine, as I sat there fanning myself with the seminar paperwork, how excited I was for that "side effect".... Well, here I sit, 6+ months post-op, 72 pounds lighter, thinning hair and still "fanning" myself because I continue to be hot all the time.... I so wanted to be one of those people that had to, "put on more layers of clothing".... easier to put ON rather than take OFF clothing... and much much better on the eyes! you all have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow ... stay warm (the layered look is in), make new memories and cherish the time with your families !

  8. Cris ... I do get it! Enjoy you quite time with your husband....Never forget to "take care of you". Sending you joy and happiness thoughts with warm and fuzzy feelings .. keep smiling !
  9. I am so very sorry for your loss. and listening to your MIL comments made my "mother bear" tendencys arise (and i don't even know you , except here) all i know is if i was there, i would corner her and not let her go until she was shaking! Does she not know how precious life is? Your mothers and your baby!!! You have enough on your mind and in your heart for her to bother you. it seems to me, the only reason they came to the funeral was: "it wouldn't look good if the didn't & to grill you about your sister in law" ... not to support you in your time of need. . . I am a MIL, and i am ashamed to have her in a category with me, that i am proud to be involved... My heartfelt understanding goes out to you for your MIL troubles (i had the same with my first MIL)... thank goodness for my second, she taught me, by example, how to act when i became one... Again, sorry about your loss, and gentle tummy rub for your baby.. ((hope i didn't offend you in any way))

    Old Ways Omg

When I need my "crunchy salty cheesey" fix....i take 1 slice of American cheese - cut into 16 little squares - place on parchment paper - put in microwave for 1 minute.... wala - homemade cheese nips !!! They are so go, and they store great in a plastic sandwich bag... Seriously they are very good! I was a big Cheetos and Cheese Nip eater... this satisfies that "moment", for me.
