Hurting....when Does It End?
tjmom replied to Luwanna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 4 weeks post-op yesterday...for me, most of the pain you are talking about subsided about 7 - 10 days out....there still was pain, but then it was so much less, and then just keeps getting better and better every day... I still have to "eat slow, chew lots, take small bites" or my new stomach cramps up terrible....hope this helps.. It does get better... Healing hugs sent your way... -

No Longer Hot? Omg This Is Awesome!
tjmom replied to WhoozisAnyway's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was SO hoping this was going to happen to me.... i don't think it did, unless it takes awhile... ...i have always slept with just a sheet or nothing at all AND a fan going pointed directly at me... still doing this at 3 weeks post-op.... Maybe my body is just a slow learner....i will keep my fingers crossed that it happens sooner or later.... About how long after surgery did your body cool down? thanks tjmom -
I am not gaining...lost steady for 3 weeks, now am on a plateau for 2 days.......but i only eat 1/4 to 1/3 cup per meal... Keeping calories between 600-800 per day as recommended by my NUT...
-
Yes i still do 1 protein shake a day.... I use Costco muscle chocolate and vanilla. and Walmart cookies &cream... I don't have a problem with drinking protein shakes like so many people post about...

Should All Pre-Oppers Get A Sleep Study Done?
tjmom replied to made4more's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have sleep apnea and have used a cpap for about 7 years.... My doctor does the sleeve as an out patient procedure (surgery in morning & go home that evening) BUT because i use a cpap i had to spend the night. My surgery was 7:30 am on May 2...I brought my cpap and they monitored my oxygen levels all night.... If levels were not normal, would have had to spend another night... Mine were ok so was discharged at 7 am on May 3... Sleep apnea is nothing to ignore....if you think you night have it, get tested....
