I drink the GNC Lean 25 shakes and they are awesome!

I don't have the same insurance. But i do know you don't have to wait till they contact you. When the time comes for me I plan on calling the ins comp to check the status every other day. The nice lady I talked to from the ins company told me I could call anytime once the request is submitted and I plan to hold her to that!! Lol

I got my blood work results back and all is well...now if only I could get the darn psyche to even call me to schedule. I called my surgeons offc AGAIN today to let them know she still hasn't called so they are emailing her for the 3rd time. I am trying to be patient but its a little frustrating. I go to the diet class next Monday. And after that there isn't much else to do before they can submit me for approval so I don't want the psyche visit holding me back....I asked about just finding my own thru my ins and she tells me they would rather I use theirs. And I don't mind using theirs, if they could get her to call me!!! Lol...so, I am feeling a little restless today!!! Arggghhhh

Happy for u!!! I am feeling emotional all the time lately myself and I don't even have a date yet. Its life changing. And so its very normal to be going through all the mixed feelings. All WILL be ok!!! Take care of you!!

Congrats...I cannot wait to get to that point!! And I think the best way to handle yourself is don't worry urself to death...I am going to try my hardest but that is very hard for me to do. I plan to keep busy. My nutritionist says to pick up a copy of "the idiots guide to losing weight after weight loss surgery" or something similar. That could help get ur mind right!! Good luck!

@terri...that's exactly what will happen to me also if I told certain people and asked them not to tell anyone. And I have to tell these people...so...I am just going to tell anyone that asks or notices I look different and I don't care what anyone thinks about it...

I use it too...its GNC Lean 25. I have the vanilla and mixed berry. They taste pretty good.

At the end of the day, when surgery is over, it will have been well worth it friend!!

My surgeons offc submitted the referral for the psyche to call me on Monday to set up the appt for the eval. I hadn't heard anything so I called Wednesday to tell them she never called. I was told they would email her again. Still haven't heard a thing. Monday morning I turn in to a hound dog...lol. Not impressed with the psyche so far and wondering if I should just get one thru my ins on my own...

I am on the pill. I plan on stopping it when I start the pre op liquid diet. Its the most gentle dose on the market and it still makes me severely nauseous even when I take it with a full meal so I cannot imagine being on it with little food intake. I am trying to convince hubby to go get snippidy snipped but so far, its a no go...LOL ...we aren't having any more kids though so we will keep doing what's necessary aside from me having to take anything to prevent it. We are religious about being careful. I have heard too many stories about the hormones in various forms of birth control causing issues for some people after surgery. Most of the stories I have heard are from people like me who are super sensitive to any birth control. Most regular folk seem to do just fine!

I am waiting around for the psychologists offc to call me to schedule mine. The clerk at the surgeons offc emailed her Monday and again Wednesday. I am not about to let that one thing hold me up. I am thinking about finding a psyche on my own...

Thank you for being honest. I wish you all the best in the world. You WILL find a new way...a new set of habits, a new you. It WILL take lots of time...I am saying all this and I haven't even gotten a date yet...but I am scared too...changing habits will be hard. But soooo worth it. I have 4 kids too...just knowing that I am bettering my chances of being around for my some day grand kids!!! Well, makes me want to put on my "big girl panties" too...I will be thinking so many good thoughts for u!!!

I would never tell someone to "gain weight" to meet the requirement. But, I do know someone that did exactly that.

Oh boy...me too. And I am just starting out..I just became a stay at home mom a few mths ago also. All but one kid at school all day..too much free time!!! Aaaahhhh!! Lol
