I will be sleeved on March 23rd. There are so many things! I will be a great-grandma any day now, and I have 5 grandchildren, ages 3, 14, 17, 20, and 22. One of my personal goals is to be able to go to Disneyland and not have to sit own every hour, to be able to keep up with my family. -

Dr. Umbach is my surgeon, and I am self-pay. Luckily, though, my insurance covered all my pre-op lab work. Have you received your packet from Dr. U. yet? If not, in it you will find the release form to be signed by your primary care dr. On the form it lists the tests Dr. U. requires. When I took it to my PCP he ordered all the tests for me, and I just had the co-pay to pay. -

I have not had my surgery yet, but I would say, "Read, read, and read some more....praying through it all. Read the good and the bad, so you don't go into it half/blind. -

My dr recommends taking a probiotic one month post-op. My surgery isn't until March 23rd, though, so I haven't asked for recommendations yet.
