Yep, accept yourself. Let's substitute the word "accept" with the word "Love". Love yourself and know that everything else will fall in place, in divine order. As that old Beetle song goes "all you need is love". Learning to love and trust yourself will fix everything. This may sound silly but I have A One Min Therapy Exercise that I do in the morning. It really takes 4 min but no matter how busy I am, I enjoy spending 4 min loving myself. Before I can love or help anyone I must first embrace loving myself. My exercise is right in line with what you suggest.
One Min Therapy - do each of the following for a min each
* Laugh out loud - this gets your mind in a happy place
* Say (out loud) wonderful things about yourself - this makes you really think about your assets
* List (out loud) things you are thankful for - you cant be given more if you don't appreciate what you have
* Hug yourself and Repeat out loud - "I am perfect, whole and complete" - this just feel so dam good
Now thats a awesome way to start the day.
