Whats the longest any of you have heard of someone having the band without complication?
taysidebell replied to LesIsMore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we are forgetting why we need or needed to consider surgery in the first place our quality if life was at risk everyone on here has a valid point and everyone has to make an informed choice with their doctor. I am an NHS client and after all the evaluations lap band was chosen as best for me I am 18 months post surgery and have had no problems I lost 60lb on the 6 month per op diet and have lost another 126 since. I have followed all the guideline and so far when I have been stuck its been my fault by eating too fast. 0ver 12 stone lighter and life is great. Wish everyone good luck with weight loss journey x -
Welcome this these forums are great just ask Someone always here to help

Bandster hell? NSV? Green Zone? I'm not in Oz anymore!
taysidebell replied to flrosie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Last post in error. What is bandster hell? Before you start to feel satisfied with just a cup of food and its 4 hours between meals What does NSV stand for? Non scale victory Where is the green zone and do I need to buy a membership to get in there? No membership just attend all your appointments and follow your surgeons guidelines and it will happen you will feel satisfied after a cup of food What do you mean my appetite/cravings will come back?! This is head hunger over actual hunger What's the truth about the first month? I was very hungry and felt like I was on the strictest diet ever Two months? By the second month getting my Protein in helped I walking too Do any of you attend local support group meetings? Non in scotland uk If so, has it helped? 9 days to bandyland, myself, and wondering about all this stuff..... In 5 days I will Celebrate my first year and Iam delighted with my progress I lost 60lb on pre op diet and have lost 112 lb from band date my bmi had dropped from 48.5 to 30.5 from band date Good luck with your journey -

My partner did candy when we first met but soon learned about my guilt secret the yo to diet and he moved onto flowers he has been very supportive this year and yesterday got top marks with GHDS. However you cope with the candy give it away or bin it or even have a little remember its only 1 day then move on good luck

taysidebell replied to wozzicat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I must have been lucky my band was put in empty and I healed well first fill at 6 weeks these 6 weeks were hard as always hungry as no fill but. Now 11 months out and 107 pound down from band placement. Also had 3 fills 7cc in 14 band Hang in there it's so worth it x -
