Band to bypass revision date 16th September

It's been quite a journey so far successful band surgery 2012 then problems with my band and weight regain all bar 30lb. I am on the pre op diet of lean protein and no more than 40g of carbs. Surgery is 11 days away feeling nervous and excited. Have lost 10 on pre op diet so far. Have pdh diet protein for post op in strawberry and mint choc chip. Any other revision people out there how are you all doing x -

12 week check up lost 39lb very happy. Working on 60g protein and reducing shakes now only 1 a day how are you Marie have you got a date yet X -

Yes eating slow is hard my dietician wants Me to stop shakes but I don't think I can make the 60 without my one shake made with total Greek yogurt each day. Other than that he really happy with my progress. The next 4 weeks are going to be a challenge. Festive meals and treats every where only safe place is our house. So glad I have the bypass as this will keep sugary treats at arms length : ) keep in touch guys

I weigh every am but only record my weight once a week I like to see the fluctuation and try to understand what i eat and how it impacts the scale I can see too much salt with fluid retention X -

Hi I am in Scotland, NHS revision band to bypass done 16th September 2015. I use Phd diet whey as its so low in Carbs. 39lb in 12 weeks will keep a look out for other uk people x

It's all about healing at this stage. Please listen to your nutritionist advise you have plenty time to work on your protein. Good luck finding a new shake : ) -

I am on pureed from 7days out to 28days aiming for 60grm protein then onto soft foods until week 12. there are lots of variations best to follow your surgical teams rules -
Hang in there the liquid diet or low carb pre op is to shrink the liver and make surgery easier keep that thought it's about your health. Surgery day will be here soon : )

I am 3 weeks post bypass and I am feeling more like myself today not quiet so tired hang in there you are still healing rest, water protein : )

I am 3 weeks out from gastric bypass and I feel tired after my shower. One of my incisions is infected was hoping to return to work but Dr feels I should stay off another week. Managing to drink fluids and working on pureed stage. On the whole I feel on track I worry when trying new foods as have experienced early dumping bloated dizzy sweats think I eat too fast.
