I focused more on just sipping all day and not forcing myself. I did my best and like you said everyong is different. Just take your time and take small sips and what a minute or two before taking another sip. You will find what works best for you. Good luck to you!! -

I will be six weeks postop tomorrow. He didn't say anything about travel. I guess it would depend on how you are feeling when you drive. I had a really hard time after surgery driving for almost two weeks. It doens't bother me anymore.

Luckily I haven't experience any sticking. I chew my food until it just slides down and wait 1 minute before taking another bite. Good luck and just chew and take your time eating. Enjoy every single bite since we don't get many bites. LOL

The pain was bad but its kind of like child birth. You know it hurt but you forget. LOL The other thing I wish I knew ahead of time is ahh how can I say this... No #2 for days... I thought something was wrong with me but you are not eating anything so no #2. LOL -

Some foods make you gassier than others. I get very gassy after a protein shake. I know it is very uncomfortable but just keep trake of what you eat and see if it is the food choice. Good luck! -

I didn't get a fill my first visit either. Same situation for me too. I read someone has had their band for over a year and never received a fill. My doc did tell me if you don't need then don't get it. Good luck... -

I had to fill out a questionaire and then the had to talk to a doc. Just like readytogoforit said be honest. -
Your doctor should give you a list of foods you will need post surgery. You will be on liquids like broth, water etc... Good luck!

I was not required to do a liquid pre-op diet, instead my Dr had me do the South Beach SuperCharge Phase 1. He didn't believe in it because you will be on a liquid diet after surgery. Yes it is to shrink your liver because it has to be lifted out of the way to get to your stomach.
