I think we should do it soon too. Where is a central location so that we can all meet? I'm in Duncanville but work in Rockwall so I can do anything on the East side or south side of Dallas. When is the Dr. J's next meeting?

I think 14lbs is a geat weight loss. Everyone loses weight at different rates and in different places so don't get down about it. Your doing a great job. Wait until you go a month without losing weight then you'll be glad for those 14lbs. I need to go see Dr.J soon! -
Just wanted to let anyone that has thinning hair know that I bought some shampoo called Nioxin and it has been working great. I've used it for about two months now and I can tell a big difference in my hair volume

I'm not sure exactly what it's doing but I do know that my hair isn't falling out like it use to. I had thin hair to begin with but about a month after my surgery it started getting worse and I had to fix my hair in a different way so I could hide the thinning spot at the top of my head and about two months after I've been using it I can tell a big difference. My thin spot is filling in and my hair feels alot thicker. I bought it from my SIL she work at a beauty shop. You can also go on line and order it too.

I've been banded for just over a month now and I'm down 30lbs and trilled about that. I've been on regular solid food now for 2 weeks and I think that I'm making better food choices now than before. What I'm starting to be concerned about is that I can eat alot of food now. Tonight I had half a bowl of chili, a slice of colby/jack cheese and a small salad. Does that sound like too much? I don't feel sick or anything just full so I stop. Yesterday I had three scrambled eggs and two pieces of sausage for breakfast. That kept me full for about 5 hours and then I had lunch, half of a chicken blt salad from Wendy's and those things are pretty good size. I'm just worried I'm eating to much, the scales are not saying I am but I just feel like I am. I ate the other half of the salad for supper. I'm pre-fill and probably won't get my first one until after Thanksgiving holidays and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm I worrying over nothing?

I was just banded Thursday Oct 2. So I'm no where near ready to eat yet but right now I'm thinking that I'm too scared to anyway. Is that normal? Is that how it's going to be when the time comes that I can eat. I've been on Clear liquids for four days and I'm just fine with that and I'm even worried about going on to full liquids. Will I know if I drank too much? Sorry if this sounds stupid but I really, really don't want to PB. By the way I've lost 19lbs and that's including 5lbs that I lost on the liquid diet the week before surgery!!!!! YEA!!!!!

I can't believe it's finally here. I will be banded tomorrow at 730am in Plano and I can't wait. But I'm now starting to get very nervous about it. Wish me luck, I'll be on the other side soon.

I'm already home. I had the surgery at 8am and I was back home by 230pm. I've done alot of resting and walking and sipping apple juice and water. I feel fine other than I'm just sore but I had expected much worse pain so I think that is why I don't feel that bad now. I think it's going good so far. I took a trip around the block 3 or 4 times today and wasn't out of breath when i got home and the walking really does make you feel better.

My new birthday is today Oct 2. I just made it home from the hospital.

My surgery date is Oct. 2 and this is what I'm going to do, I have a small cooler that I can fill with ice and I'm going to put my juice, slim fast, and all of my liguid that need to stay cool in there and put it in the back seat of my car. I travel a good ways to get to work and the cooler is small enough that I can bring it in when I get there and put under my desk. Campbells also make the soup at hand and they are pretty good so I'm stocked up on those. The Carnation instant breakfast also comes pre-made so maybe you can find some of those too. You can also get the sugar free jello and put in the cooler. I have to do the liquid diet one week before surgery so I have been trying to come up with all kinds of ideas. Good luck to ya! tosha

Ok I just found out yesterday that I was approved. I don't have a date set right now but was needing to know if some of you can give me a visual idea of different things like, How big of a bite will I be able to have when I get on solid foods? And exactly how big is the hole that the food goes through? Should I eat bites that I would cut up for a 1 yr old and chew, chew, chew or is that going to be too big or too small. I'm really excited and I have been trying to start already with the small bites and chewing so that I'll be use to it. Also if you could tell me the what day you have your surgery and what day you went back to work. thanks and sorry it's so long but i'm really looking foward to it. Tosha
