Hi Sassyfrass. I'm so glad you wrote in. You're actually doing better than I am. I will have my one year anniversary in Feb an I believe I've only lost about 25 lbs. I'm amazed at the wonderful work of everyone else. It's just not working for me. -

Luvbug, I totally feel your pain. My weightloss is practically non existent. I wish I were down like other folks. Also, I just had foot surgery, so I can't really exercise. Sigh. -

I am feeling discouraged as well. I do find some strength in knowing that I'm not the only one. I may go for another fill. However, my question is, how do you know when you have restriction? Maybe I don't know bc I don't have it? -

Flouro-- I think the full name is fluoroscopy, but don't quote me on that. It's when they do your fill in front of a live x-ray. They doc can see where everything is like the port and the band. and see how you're swallowing the special liquid they give you. It's pretty cool. -

If you can get or make some fruit purée, that goes great with Greek yogurt (with a little sweetener). I stumbled upon at work and I love it. I know not everyone's work carries Greek yogurt with 3 choices of purée. Honestly, I don't even know how to make purée, but its worth learning. I use strawberry and it masks the taste of the greek yogurt and goes down smoothly. -

Hey, I haven't seen any other postings about Greek food. Most Greek restaurants have avglommeno (sp?) soup. You could also maybe eat the insides of a dolmade. I believe that's finely chopped meat inside a grape leaf. Both are Greek specialties. I suppose you know this already, but look at the online menu in advance. I can't go anywhere without doing that. Hey Judy, Fortunately I didnt have to do that. I have some extended release pills and I read that you shouldn't crush those. I got 1.8cc and the pills still go down fine. I was scared though. I also got this first fill under flouro, which I think is amazing. I'm spoiled for life now. -

Hey Judy, Some of my meds are time release and I read that you shouldn't crush those. So far, I'm fine. I had 1.8cc put in under flouro (which I live and can't imagine getting a fill without now) and the pills went down ok. I do have mild heart burn though. -

I had the same problem with the scan coming off. I cleaned the wound with peroxide. I may get some of those steri strips. Let me know how yours works out. I'm concerned about it as well.

I had most of an omelette and some potatoes for lunch. I feel like I could eat more. Please tell me this will be diminished with a fill!

I have my first fill on 3/24. I total understand being anxious about it. I've read up on it, but I'm still not sure what to expect. Mine will also be in Mexico. I'm hoping the fill will help. My weightloss has slowed to a stop. I've even gained a couple of lbs. yikes!

I flew the day after my surgery and I was fine. Everyone heals differently, but I couldn't imagine you having a problem 7 wks out.

I tried to do the pudding. I just can't. I haven't had it in 30 years and I know why. I hate it. I'm trying to pawn it off on somebody. Lol. I make this tuna pâté recipe for my mushies, which is basically tuna and cottage cheese and some other stuff blended. I love it. It's the only way I'll eat cottage cheese. -

Hey JennyBee, I'm doing a protein shake or 2 eggs with a little cheese for breakfast. For lunch, I have this high protein spice Hunter soup that I've been eating. For dinner, either refried beans, tuna pâté or this quinoa and chicken concoction I just made this weekend. The chicken goes done kinda hard, though. -

I'm glad things went well for you. I get my first fill this weekend and I'm kind of scared based on some of the posts I've read. That's interesting that your doc has you on one day of liquids. Did it hurt at all? -

My dietician is concentrating on me getting more protein than veggies. My skin and nails are a mess. I'm probably not getting enough fat either (never thought I would ever say that). Is anyone else having these issues?
