Hey ya'll I was banded 8/12/03 in Dalton and they better not be no 800.00 fillings cause I'm due 10/02..Guess I'll be in the market for Doc. They were terrific though I mean I couldn't imagine a better experience. I am at 258 and started at 276. Loss is at a snails pace and I get hungry. I could eat a lot too but it is easy not to now and I stay full a lot longer. I got some real movie popcorn tonight!!Small, Seen Matchstickmen. Great movie. I live in Dalton but grew up in Chatsworth/Murray Co. My daughter turns 16 tommorrow!! I'm feeling an old 34 but am just proud as I could be of her. I been truely blessed.... Car and cell phone things get more expensive as the years go by!!!!!! Thanks to all and feel free to email any questions! This place was a lifesaver for me!!!!Hey Sandy!!

You see if I don't eat at 3:oo or 4 I am uncomfortable at night. I go to bed before 9:30 most of the time and up at 4:ooAM. Now it has been oatmeal, then snack like bananna or soft fruit bar to get through middle day. At 3:00 I really eat. I'm afraid too much but nothing like before. Say a Boston Market Dinner complete at most. I really try not to eat late in the afternoon. 18 lbs but tings have slowed now. Time to get a fill and waste away to nothing!!!

Well its been since 8/12/03 and I have dropped 13 lbs with my main problem being sticking to a diet correctly. I still eat way less but can eat anything I've tried so far. The weights coming off though so I guess all goes well for now. Scars healing nicely also. Got lots of info here and will answer questions as I learn answers myself......

Hey I only dropped 16 lbs!! No I have been eating. Listen I eat a protein drink in the early AM and then around 10:00 I eat a bananna and or granola bar. Around 3:00 PM its my MEal time. I ate a Boston Market Dinner yeaterday almost. Couldn't do all the MEat. Thats the whole day in a shell. Some times its oatmeal/ricebowl and thats it..

I think thats a great idea and I would sign up.

I would ask if you feel like you are always in a struggle to keep weight off and if it was reall bothering you. If so then whats it matter the BMI because the quality of your life will dramaticly improve. There is no price tag on that. I wish you luck...

I was banded on 8/12/03 at Hamilton Medical Center Dalton Ga. and things couldn't have gone better. There was minimal discomfort and I believe the gas has been the worst of it. I could eat jello first day and liquids. Day 4 I was mobile as in driving. I have had many concerns but they have been whether I have been to pushy with eating solid foods which go down fine now after 8 days. I was 276 at 5ft7 and I truely believe this band will help many people includung me. On insurance. Don't give up. Obesity is a chronic desease and with DR. approval and a lot of persistance they will come through. I have Accordia and Blue Cross I had no problem . My cost was 2960.00 Anxieties before were do I really have to resort to this. Yes I did even at 34 yrs. old ,Why risk surgery for this? The weights gonna get ya slowly thats why. I haven't beat it in all these years so yeah its time. Afterwards it was is this going to worrk or what I have I done wrong.Am i suppose to feel this way. I believe this band is pretty tough and if placed correct would be hard to hurt it. Some thoughts.

Yeah it is true as I tested the theory. If I follow instructions a cup of food will fill me up for a while. Not drinking with meal even like cream potatoe soup. I can however wash down much more! Herein lies the reasoning for our surgery we can eat less and stay full longer,,,,,

I'd rather do this than go to the dentist!!

Hey I have went through this forum but haven't seen my question. I was banded 8 days ago at Hamilton Medical Center Ga. They were fabulous I will add. I can eat. I haven't had bulky meat now but pulled pork yes. Normal food just not as much.I don't want to disrupt the procedure here you know. I'm guessing after they adjust me or fill is it? I will be eating even less. I have lost a few pounds and I feel some restriction as in I get full quick like half of a sandwich.... Concerned.

I have corrected my eating to conform. Thanks all It Aint worth worrying about. A moment of weakness no less...

lets keep this one going folks I'll be watching too. I had no problems 9:30 Admitted 10:30 Happy shot 11:30 Banded 1:00 Woke up 3:30 On my way home Soreness in my tummy minimal. Riding in vehicle made me a little wheezy. Gas pains the worste for me. POINT- Follow your diets by Dr. I didn't and have nothing but worried myself to death. I' fine now as I believe I am okay because I eat only 3/4 to a cup of soft food and it fills me a good long time. I drink well before I eat and not after for atleast an hour. If you cheat you will worry, worry, worry and your Dr. will chew you out too. My eating is on track now and there is no way I'm not shedding pounds. I stay off the scales as I plan to weigh every two weeks. I am up to walking 2 1/2 miles now at the park. I'm hoping for a nice surprise when I weigh next.

Hamilton Medical Center- Hamiltonhealth.com- Search the site for lap band. These folks are great. Also from what I have read I'd go with a Dr who has done many of these. Hamiltons close to you..

Hey I was just getting here.LOL the forum anyway. My procedure was easy. Post op no problems either. If I didn't no better I'd wonder if we done anything down there..;.l. I have lost a few lbs. Bowel movements slow. Eating to good. Getting or trying to get water. Scared I'm eating to much..

One thing about the driving. Few days aster surgery ecerytime I drove or rode I got nausus, only afew days though. I was banded 8 days ago. I don't feel like anything at all was done unless I look at my tummy, I did suffer some shoulder pain with the gas. I am worried a little cause I can eat what I want just nowhere near as much. I walked 3 miles yesterday. I work as a manager in a manufacturing mill I took off 17 days but could have done it 4 days after surgery. Be cool. This is simple. Enjoy losing your weight.

hey I done steak and potatoes at OutBack Day before Surgery. I then stayed soft with nothing after 12:00 Midnight..No problems..3 Days after I'm eating small portions and smart but mostly what I want..

don't know your feelings on this but after a week I'm eating smart and small but not liquids..feel fine..
