LMBO....yes but he will try to sell you on the "workout" being good for you.
-
LOL TxMom27.....that's pretty funny.

You can try Kashi Go Lean...it is high in Protein. The problem is you will have to eat a whole bowl....which probably isn't possible. You could also have high protein milk with it. Here is the link: http://www.kashi.com/products/golean_original

Lauracat - I know it can be frustrating...when you feel like you are doing everything right and the scale doesn't budge. I have been the same exact weight for a week now...I hope in the next week that I will see it move again...crossing my fingers.
-
Thanks Brokenwings...you will get there before you know it. I started to notice a difference in my clothes at 20 pounds...especially my bra...unfortunately!
-
.15grams....that's hardly worth the trouble....lol

What a loser!!!! I can see how that comment would have cut deep. I hope he learned his lesson. Kind of reminds me of shallow hal's buddy with the tail...lol He always talked bad about women who weren't perfect and it turned out he had many issues of his own...lol BTW - I went through True Results in Houston. Love the experience. They give you an option of getting fills at the surgeon's office or at True Results....my particular surgeon really didn't have an aftercare program....so next fill I am going back to True Results...I hear their program is more informational and supportive.

Why do women have anal sex?
dhales replied to Oregondaisy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
This thread is hilarious!!!! fnicole...apparently you are not an odd woman out...according to the pole there are more women that like it than those who don't...there are many freaky banded ladies on this site....love it! -
Congrats!!! That is amazing!

I really like the chocolate Pure Protein powder from WalMart. With two scoops it is 50mg protein. I make with with ice and Water every morning. Pretty tasty. Also - have you tried Weight Watchers Ice Cream? It is decadent and not cheating

I just had my first fill today. I am kind of cramping in my lower abdomen...is this normal? Also Doc said that I won't need to come in again unless I have issues or needed another fill. They told me what to look for to let me know once I need another fill. I kind of thought that the doc would follow along every month...but not really the case...what does everyone else do? Just curious.

Okay...I am really curious. Since I have been able to graduate to "normal" food and increase my portion from 1/4 cup (2oz) to 1/2 cup (4oz)...I feel like there is tons of food on my plate. 4 oz is actually quite a bit of food. I never finish it...I have had one fill so for. So here is my question. Are 1/2 cup measurements truly equal to 4 oz measurements? For example - I weighed out scrambled eggs, 1 turkey sausage link and half piece of hard toast and it came out to 3.7 ounces...which is right in line with my guidelines...however visually looking at that on a plate...I know that will not fit into a 1/2 cup measuring cup. Or maybe it will if it was all squished up. I just want to make sure that I am not stretching my little pouch without realizing it. Also - does that limit apply to Protein shakes? I drink a 10-12 ounce Protein shake on my way to work every day. It only takes me about 30 minutes to get to work....should that be split to 4 ounces as well. Just curious....Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thanks everyone for responding!!!

Makes sense.... so with that in mind...would you do 2 oz protein and 1/4 veggies? to stay under your a total of 4oz or 1/2 cup.

It's kind of hard as some go by weight and others by volume. I know that eventually it should come down to satiety....but right now I am measuring and like a few others posted...If I eat my portion and I am still "hungry" then I still don't eat more. Which honestly that has only happened once or twice. Now I have had head hunger many times after my portion. It is just confusing to me....which guideline should be used 4oz or 1/2 cup. Clearly they aren't always equal. Hmmmm...

Read Something Scary On Here, Need Confirmation

I was banded April 3rd. The first week I slept with a pillow on my tummy on my side...just in case my hubby bumped me or our pug jumped on me by accident. Plus i was still sore from the surgery. However I am a tummy sleeper and have been sleeping on my tummy ever since. I don't have any issues with it. Everything is secure inside you and it's not going anywhere regardless of how you sleep. No worries. -
Actually...things taste better to me. I actually slow down to taste it now.

Truly inspirational...how often did you see your doc during the 16 months? Was it for follow-up or just fills? Just wondering. Thanks and Congrats!

Let's start a list of healthy alternative slider foods.... I just had a fill and almost went for a milk shake at Chick-Fil-A....opted for the Yogurt Parfait instead....not the best choice but much better than the shake. Anyone else with examples to help with alternatives??

My third day was my worst day for some reason...but take heart in knowing that most people that I have seen post on here started feeling much better by day 4 and 5.....you can get through this rough patch. Good luck to you!

Those Of Us Who Are Brave Enough To Share Weve Failed
dhales replied to soulsong's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Jim - that is most certainly part of my motivation as well and my biggest fear. Just about everyone knows and i know they are watching me...some critical and some cheering me on. I want to tick off the critical naysayers and not disappoint the cheering crowd. Every time I am tempted to have something I shouldn't - I think of that. I also tell myself that there may be a time when I can have that treat in moderation and when I won't feel guilty about it. It's kind of my little psychological trick to keep me strong...on days I feel weak.
