  1. That is completely normal! I was a mess for a few days post-op. Allow yourself to grieve...you are going through a lot, not only physically but mentally too. I recommend talking to a counselor. Hope you feel better soon!

    I Did It!

Before the surgery, I would excuse myself from the room or the entire house so that I wouldn't have to smell the food or watch them eat it. I just keep telling myself that one day I will eat most foods again, just much smaller portions.

    I Did It!

Yesterday I was sleeved and glad the surgery is over but feeling down a little bc i want to eat something solid and i can't. Reality really set in today, that i will be different forever. I just hope I become used to it. Any one else feel like this?

  5. I am on day 1 of a 14 day pre-op diet. Right now 3 days sound like heaven! Good luck to you!
  6. Thanks everyone! I feel better about it after reading all your responses.
  7. I am really excited because I found out that my insurance will cover my WLS, but I have to complete a 6 month doctor-supervised weight loss program. Has anyone else had to do this, and if so, have you been turned down for surgery afterwards? If all goes well, I will be banded or having the sleeve done in September!
