damn I knew they would be! Just as well there's the whole atlantic ocean between me and a store that stocks them!

I almost never drink since being banded - I find it completely lowers my inhibitions and I end up eating tons of crap! And talking tons of crap! Hubby bought me a bottle of baileys for Easter and I was red-cheeked and giggly after one glass! Not used to drinking anymore! Also alcohol is such a waste of calories in my view! I'm so happy having lost over half my excess weight, I am delighted to be anywhere, alcohol or no!!!

I have to say, I find I DO have to diet with the band (ducking Donali throwing something at me......!!!!) I haven't very much restriction, and am not interested in being too tight as I worry about being far away from any band doctor in an emergency. I calorie/fat/protein count everyday now, and I am losing weight. I couldn't eat a lot of bread/pasta etc but can still eat a fairly substantial meal - and junk goes down easily - cookies/chocolate etc - so I have to stick to a progam - I "plateau-ed" for over three months by not watching what I ate, and I became really depressed and felt a failure....I feel more in control now and proud of losing weight more, as I feel I work WITH the band....if I stay away from craving-inducing sugar, I don't feel hungry - some times I don't know what is working - me obsessed with numbers (adding the calories etc), avoiding sugar or the band! Maybe it's all three! Dunno if this is any help but as Michelle said, everyone works the band their way...

Cutz, don't forget, some of that disinclination to eat, just after being banded is more likely to do with post-anaesthetic reaction than normal band restriction. After any surgery, people often feel nauseous and do not have any appetite. It may take a few fills, either in or out (!) to give you the restriction you need. The band is a marvellous tool but does require that you work with it, and try to eat healthily, sticking to the Band rules.... You have lost a lot of weight already and are right on track!! Best of luck!

hey Kimber-lilly Clothes are my life!!! and my hobby! ANYWAY....before you think about what you want to wear, what's your body shape? I know I am pear shaped, with big boobs and flabby arms, so I would always go for sleeves, deep v-neck and waisted to show I have a shape... Try Trinny and Susannah's page for ideas: http://www.bbc.co.uk/lifestyle/tv_and_radio/what_not_to_wear/index.shtml And re the gold dress, it's a lovely shape but I'd avoid anything that's made from nylon....Also have you thought about wearing a tux suit yourself? With a cute sexy top inside or great bra/corset type top and high heels??? And I definitely think black is a great option - slimming and flattering! Coco Chanel said if a woman wears a dress with a beautiful pattern, people always admire the dress, but, she said, if a woman wears a black dress, people admire the woman! Just my two cents! Have loads of fun!
