My insurance wont pay for fills and my Dr charges 370 for first fill 370 for second fill and 265 for any fill after that....my friends Dr only charges 200 What is normal?

Seems like its pretty darn expensive for saline

Hello fellow type ones...I have been a diabetic since I was 12...my husband has had it since he was 17...I am on insulin pump he still takes shots...he is thin. I got the fat gene...but ...just got banded the 17 of Feb and down twenty so far Can't wait to have my first fill..my goal is by the time o turn 35 this October to be at a healthy weight ...so then I can try to get pregnant.....is it hard to get your sugar up after a fill and exercise? ...I worry about having lows ...

I am a newly banded one (haven't had first fill yet) but I have a question ...when it is really hot or when you all workout...how do you stay hydrated? Especially with a tighter band?....I get really thirsty when I really workout....and I worry about getting enough fluids after my fill....oh and by the way I live in Phoenix Arizona ...120 degrees right around the corner....just worried about dehydration.

I am nine days post open and was just wondering if anyone experienced any heart fluttering? ..I had pre op tests showing heart was normal. The heart fluttering just started a few days ago...anyone have these?..kinda freaking me out...but maybe its just the new diet??

Thanks so much for all the responses...they ended up going away...I have been feeling much better now that I am eating and drinking more regulary...I will still mention to dr at my follow up..next week

Hello everyone..I am five days post open really sore...but this shall pass...anyways hoping to find some vegetarian lap banders for menu ideas...dairy ok...but meat..including fish....anybody out there?

Cool good to KNOW!!..can't wait to be on solid food again...I have two days more before I start the "mushier" food....I can't wait to be an actual healthy vegetarian because I think being a vegetarian over 22 years...I was more of a carbitarian...lol....glad to see others out there!!

I had lap band last Friday and yesterday they had to remove a air bubble from band which I hear is pretty normal..but it definitely made my port site really sore today so it looks like we are in the same boat...I bet we will be ok soon...we just have to keep our eyes on the finish line...lol...ouch
