I was banded on 4/25 & the last couple days I've been having pains everytime I get up or walk around. Its a sharp chest pain that also hurts my head.. It comes and goes every 10 minutes..... And it hurts to breathe deeply when its happening. Anyone know what this is??

I was also banded on the 25th about 10 am. Im not hungry, but I eat jello twice a day and sip chicken broth twice a day. I also have one sugar free popsicle a day and sip water and diet green tea throughout the day. The pains im having are straining to get out of bed or walking around gives me gas pains. Im wondering when I can have mashed potatoes though... What did your doc say?

I was banded yesterday and im excited to eat healthier, Im going to miss 2 things mostly: popcorn and chicken and dumplings! Lol I will have popables instead of popcorn, though, and its similar AND healthier BTW, I have a male friend 36 pounds down on lap band and would be more but he has a lot more muscle now! Dont forget Protein is very important in not losing muscle, especially in men. Heres an off topic question for you, how do you add a profile picture? This is so sad to hear, my prayers are with her family tonight and justice for them to know that hospital cannot let this happem again

Cant wait to see pics in a month!! I was banded yesterday and trust me, the cravins are a mental thing, once you're banded, you won't think about them anymore! Remember to take your meds exactly as scheduled and there'll be minimal to no pain! Good Luck!

Yep, I would be as PISSED! I wouldn't yell at anyone because these are the people you have to deal with through a very difficult time, but i would def tell them

I am at my pre-op appointment and they're giving me ONE week until surgery!! I am starting the liquid diet today, so this morning I had a Synth a-6 Protein shake. I'm ultra worried I won't be able to do this extreme diet for an entire week without starving and feeling miserable or passing out! Any recommendations on a Protein Shake that will keep me full?? Thanks!

I am not yet banded, just waiting for clearance from my doctor, so about the end of april. This thread is great, I've been wondering about the foods ill be able to have/not be able to. mixed reviews about breads though...
