Gotta have it. What wonderful news about your Blood sugar level... way to go. Ive slowed down... no... ive stopped losing weight now. its been about a week since i had any weight loss. im assuming its because im having more in my diet. Im not worried though and neither should you be, the weight loss will pick up again. im having my fill on the 7th may. Im getting hungry now, eating more than before. i would say a cup of food now . im chewing really well but i need that amount of food. I would definately say that im due for a fill. its just in time. March Bandsters!

do you need my email address?? its chestermanjudith318@gmail.com
  4. well... if it were me i would be questioning whether a fill was necessary?? if you arent hungry and managing the way you are ... losing weight, then i wouldnt worry about a fill. AFter all, you are doing what you want to do... and that is, lose that weight.
  5. well... there you go. im wondering if its all tied in with hormonal changes?/ i know that hormones are affected by this surgery as well. im just thinking though... you wouldnt think that it was be so quick... as it was with me. Do you think it may be hormone related??
  6. thats really interesting.. do you have a craving for lemons as well??
  7. well.. on reflection i think i went in not knowing the full extent of the change that was coming... but, hey, what did i think it was going to be?? im not sorry at all but its been a very deeply stirring experience for me, mostly emotionally i think. Not an easy time at all. IN all of this im finding that some of my old habits and mind sets are still rearing their ugly head. I know its goign to take time for all this to dispel . It has been one of the hardest things Ive had to deal with. Mostly because when i am having a bad day i cant just ''get off the train ''.lol. Discipline has not been one of my strongest points for many years now. Im 66, learning that i have to be renewed in my mind regarding food. Also, im finding that whats equally as important is that i have to change how i feel about myself. I know it will all come together.. its going to take some time though. Meantime the results have been just staggering as far as my health is concerned. More than id ever expected, especially so quickly after surgery. This has been an awesome boost for me. i think that was meant to be to encourage me. All in all?? yes, i would have it done again... a thousand times over. Nothing else was going to force me to confront my ''demons'' thats for sure.
  8. this is great. thanks for sharing. i will watch out for them.
  9. i had no problem with thicker [protein shakes. i would mix with plenty of greek yoghurt and i loved them. i still do. mind you i didnt drink gallons of it either... they were very filling. the creamy taste from the yoghurt was important for me then. i had such a horrible breath and taste in my mouth. It was a pleasure to drink. i think just fiddle with your consistancy. Everyone is different.

    Starvation Mode

my myfitnesspal tells me i have to have at least 1200.. and my nutritionalist says 1000, so im goign with my nutritionalist. it does cause some issues when filling out my daily quota though.

    Cheesecake Anyone????

this sounds so good. ive never made cheese cake, my family loves it though. could you please give me the recipe for it?/ i would really appreciate that. judy
  19. youve been through a lot with diet change etc. do you have tummy wind as well?/ is the pain more in your gut than higher in your stomach?? ive had a lot of wind pain since the op. im sure its due to the change in diet. i had more wind last night than normal (tmi.. sorry lol.) after i had my first meal of veges and meat without it being sloppy. im sure it had something to do with that. im not sure how much air is being swallowed as well.... that could be a factor.
  20. i think that if there is no hard lump underneath, no pain, then it should be o.k. i wouldnt continue to put pressure on it though. it does need to heal over.
  21. it is scary to think of losing ones hair. you have lost a huge amount of weight. i hope that taking the vitamins deals with the hair loss really quickly.

    February Bandsters?

what great news.. im taking heart from your posts. i badly need my first fill. Ive been eating more than i should be and feeling hungry and deprived all the time. plus its winter here now. Yesterday was a ''day of lapband hell' for me, and i deeply regret it . Better for me not to dwell on it now but today is a new day... and be more positive about what i can do. But, having said that, we should never under estimate the power that old mind sets and habits have ingrained in us. its like fighting a battle, or being in a war. we are never on leave. lol. always at the front line so to speak. it seems that its when we are complacent we leave the door open and in the old comes again. Ive learnt. my first fill is may 7th. it cant come quickly enough. i havent lost anything this last week. never mind. ive lost 17 lbs since the 22nd march and thats good for me.

    Will Power

yep.. lol.. full agreement here. i had a bad day yesterday, im five weeks now post op. i wont go into details but i have to deal with it, put it behind me and move on. This has been a really difficult period for me , especially the last ten days. Hang in there, we WILL get through this one.

    March Bandsters!

hi there sleeping beauty. this might be my second post in reply. lol.. who cares?? lol. I didnt have any fill either when i had the band put in. it was strange because it sure does feel like its got some. i did ask my dr about it and he said no. but, it feels like restriction. im wondering how much swelling would be still in my stomach after just over four weeks?? i had a nasty episode this morning which i posted about earlier so i cant take anything for granted at all. i certainly cant fool myself that i can eat anything anyways.. it just doesnt happen for me. Im pleased about that though. having said that... im wondering about my first fill. im assuming that i will have some fill put in on the 7th when i go back to the dr. Have you been very hungry these last couple of weeks?? what do you think your hunger has been for?? ive found out it was for red meat. last night i had my first plain hamburger... and it was just sooooo good. lol. im having another one tonight. just mixed in with some sloppy veges and some gravy. I never ate a lot of read meat... but obviously my body was missing it a lot. i have had some chicken now for the last week... it was the red meat that really did the trick. ... i havent lost anything in at least a week. not since my food has been more substantial anyway. how many others experienced a loss of weight gain when their diet was changed from liquid?
