Who be I?

I'm 50 yrs old, single after 25 yrs, mother of sometimes adult children. I'm a salon owner, and have been in the beauty industry for 19 yrs now. I share a home with my two oldest boys and my three dogs. I work way way too much. My social life is slim but I do have a few really good friends.

I'm the baby of 4 girls and have always been the smallest one in the family until now. #2 daughter had bypass about 2 yrs ago and is down 145 lbs. My mother and all my sisters have always struggled with their weight and it seems to be a losing battle in my family. Frankly, I'm tired of it. I don't want to face the health issues they have and I don't want to wait until it's too late to do anything about it. My lapband surgery is scheduled for April 2, 2012.

This time, it's all about me.
