  5. I thought it would be a good idea to have a gathering place for useful stuff so it doesn't get lost in the forum and maybe we can add to it and refer back to it. I found this under the articles section on this forum and wanted to share. Good info! The official Bandwagon® Eating Skills are: 1. Don't drink while you eat or for 30 to 60 minutes afterwards. 2. Take tiny bites. 3. Chew, chew chew. 4. Eat slowly. 5. Eat the protein first. 6. Learn your stop signals. 7. Pay attention to problem foods. 8. Eat only when you're hungry. 9. Avoid liquid calories and slider foods. 10. Use a small plate. 11. Plan your food in advance. 12. Don't watch TV or read while you eat. 13. Don't put serving dishes on the dining table. 14. Eat sitting down at the dining table. 15. Follow the HALT rule (don't eat when you're too hungry, angry, lonely or tired).

    Recipe Blog For Bandsters

What a great site! Thanks for sharing pb!
  10. Yep I finally had my first fill!! They put in 3 cc's this time and hopefully I'll start losing. The procedure was really easy. It took all of about 5 minutes and I do mine with an x-ray. You can see how the fluids flow. With 5 cc's nothing moved so we went down to 3. I'm good with that as long as I start losing. I think my fills are going to be different as I will hopefully only get two fills. The next one will be in 3 months and they would like that one to last me 5 to 7 yrs. This is just the way my Doc does it and I have to trust it will work for me. So a "hoot hoot" for me now! I'm officially OUT of Lapband Hell. I've missed your guys! BTW where is summrsue?

    Stuck Already?!

I lost a few lbs. immediately after surgery and then bounced up and down with the same 2 lbs for the next 5 wks. I was lucky enough to have someone remind me that I was in the "band hell" phase and it was more a time to heal rather than expect a loss. Your focus right now should be on healing, not on losing. I even put my scale away. Glad I listened to the wisdom of those on this forum. Good Luck

    I Hate Steri Strips

I've been using Vit E oil. It may also help with the irritation. No clone machine here but don't push yourself too hard.

    Lapband Hell

sucks!!!! Just so you know exactly what I mean: Lapband Hell = the healing time before your first fill
  24. I wasn't planning on using their transportation. I'm just going to get a cab once I cross the border. Their transportation seems a bit high for my taste. We ask the hotel how much a cab would cost and it's only about 6 bucks from the border to the hotel, but thank you for letting me know.
