Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
Blessed_gemini replied to raynie's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
:thumbup:Congratulations to you all! I just delivered my beutiful healthy baby boy 6 weeks ago. I got pregnant less than a month post-op so I never had a fill. Luckily I only gained 36lbs, and so far have lossed about 22 of it. I'm back at my surgery day weight. I gotta admit I was a little upset when it happened, I mean 3 years of trying( I have PCOS) and when I finally decide to do something with my weight BOOM! there it was:ohmy:.... but I wouldn't trade my baby for anything though, everything happens for a reason. I just hope I can get back into the swing of things. Its been almost a year since surgery (7/17/07) I see people who had surgery the same day as I, and they are already down 70+lbs. I can't weight for that to be me:wink_smile: Pray for me!! I'm going to schedule my aptointment tomorow with the surgeon to get my fill. I sure hope nothing moved around in there during the pregnancy:unsure: -
I'm new to this and want to here from anyone who is having surgery or have had surgery with Southeast Bariatrics. I'm doing all my pre-op testing and hope to be finished by the end of the month. I cant wait to have the surgery. It seems like the more I read all the sucess stories, the more I really want this. Tell me about your experience..how long did it take from seminar to surgery?

Congratulations! Well its been a while since I've been on here. I did have my surgery on 7/17/07 with Dr. Voelinger in Charlotte, however less than a month later I found out that I was pregnant:ohmy: I got to admit I did have mixed emotions because I tried for so long without success due to polycystic ovarian syndrome. Anyway i continued with the pregnancy and now I have a beutiful healthy 6 week old baby boy. Now it's time to get back to my weight loss journey. Since it was less than a month after surgery, I didn't even get my first fill, so it's like starting from the very beginning again. I've seen people who had surgery the same day as i did, and they have lossed like over 70lbs. I can't weight to get there. i just hope it won't be to difficult to follow the band rules again. Pray for me guys! i'm going tomorow to schedule an apointment. -

I am really loving this forum. Its keeps me motivated. Its good to hear about all the stories and support you all are giving. I don't relly have to much time to get on here often, but I always know that whenever I get depressed or nervous about having the surgery, I can always come and get rejuvinated. I thank you all for all this info. You just don't know how much this helps me out.:cry My family are not that supportive, but once I come here, I'll be ok... Keep up the good work...:clap2: Hopefully I'll be able to tell about my experiences of surgery within a month or two.:nervous -

I'm still new to this, but I'm sure glad to see other people that have gone through the surgery:clap2: I'm happy for you guys and hope all goes well with your weight loss. Its good to have other people to talk to with the same issues as yourself. I haven't had the surgery as yet, but I hope to be finished with all my pre-ops by the end of the month. Hopefully I can be on the "other side" by May:) My Dr. want me to have all my testing done before my paper work is sent off to the insurance. They said that this will help me get a quick approval. I can't wait to here the words "YOUR APPROVED" :biggrin1: I just hope I'm doing the right thing and that all goes well. I'm kinda nervous because I don't know how it feels to be thin and often wonder what I will look and be like. I've never been thin and its gonna be a whole new life for me. Anyway thats enough blabbering for now. Congatulations to all of you! -
I'm new to this also. This is my first posting and I'm nervous too. I've already gone to the seminar and had my initial visit on 2/13. I'm doing all my pre-op testing at the moment. They said that I have to get all my procedures done before they send my paperwork to the insurance company. Hopefully it will make it easier to get a quick approval. I hope to have my surgery within a month or two. I can't wait. I've always been overweight, and honestly I'm a bit scared of being thin. I don't know how it feels, but I'm looking forward to having a whole new life.
