Got my first fill today. Not as big of a deal as I thought. Only pain was from lidocaine to numb port site and it wasn't bad. Just a little sting. Dr gave me 2cc. I could feel the fluid go into he band when he pushed the syringe. That was wierd. Definately could tell a difference when drinking the water afterwards. No problem swallowing just felt like it was taking longer for it to go down. Don't know if that will last though. Good Luck!!!

I'm almost 7 weeks post op (no fill) down 22.5 lbs and on vacation at the beach. I have done so good with food since I've been here but today I have been so hungry. I decided to eat a whole small Reese's blast from sonic and now I feel like hell. I have this pain in the center of my chest and a headache and I feel as if I could puke. I know better than this and I did it anyways. I'm gonna be kicking myself in the butt when I get home to the scale. Does anyone else feel like then when they have over ate? It's a different feeling then what I used to feel Pre band days. Hope it goes away soon!!!!

I am 3 weeks post op and I was starting to think maybe I was gonna be one of the lucky ones and not get hungry ever again....wrong!! I do fine at work when I am busy but the last 3 days when I get home I feel like I want to eat the house. I've been so compliant with the "rules" and now I'm starting to worry. A few hours after I ate dinner tonight I polished off my sons happy meal fries with some ketchup and washed it down with some Gatorade. What is wrong with me? I have been doing so good. I've lost 17 lbs and I'm scared I'm gonna stretch my stomach out or fall back into really bad habits. I know it was only one time but I can't help but be disappointed with myself!!

I need to do better with meals. I'm still on the soft stage. I don't have time to eat breakfast in the morning so I normally have my protein shake and then lunch will be something easy to eat. I've had soups, chili, chicken salad. Today I had grilled salmon. Dinner I've been sticking with refried beans or vegetables. I'm scared to eat meat . I normally have a second protein shake before bed. I know it's gonna take time but II just get so frusterated at myself bc everything had been going so well.

I was banded on 3/27/12 making me almost 2 weeks post op and everything has been going better than I expected with no problems. This morning I was sleeping on my stomach and I went to roll over and get my alarm clock and I felt a weird feeling in the middle of my stomach like something popped. No pain just a small burning sensation for a few seconds. It has me scared I messed something up. I have done everything correctly except I have picked my 3 year old son up a few times and now Im all paranoid that thats caused me to weaken something and it just snapped??? I know everyone will tell me to call my MD but has this happened to anyone? My MD is about 2 hours away and I just went back to work so I am freaking out!!!!!!!

Great job on the weight loss. My surgery was on 3/27 and I'm down 15 lbs and also have a ways to go. I've just started puréed food which is a nice change but I'm never hungry and if I am hungry I lose interest after a few bites. My husband doesn't say much either but that he doesn't know how they can add fluid when I already eat like a bird lol...curious to hear how your first fill goes. Good luck

Maybe a couple of inches below my sternum. I had a small hernia repair also. Called the surgeon but I'm waiting on a call back. All seems well, no problems today. Just a really scary feeling. This has been a dream come true so far and I have adjusted better then I ever could of imagined so I hate to think that something could be messed up.

Thanks for the feedback. My port is on the left side of my chest so I don't think it was that. I am just so scared it was a suture bc everything has been going so well I hate to think I messed up anything.

My surgery was on 3/27/12 and I would love to hear from anyone who also had surgery on this date and see how things are going. Im feeling better day by day and today will be my first day back at work. I have lost 10 lbs so far which isn't a shocker with all these liquids!!!! Crazy thing is I'm not really hungry at all. Not to say that the pizza my kids were eating this weekend didnt make me have to leave the room but thats all in my head My first fill is scheduled for 5/15. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!!!

Wanted to let everyone know surgery went well. It was exactly like I fell asleep and woke up banded. More pain in recovery than I expected due to the trapped air. Good news is its already starting to resolve and I am still sore but I can tell that is getting better as well. The doctor said he had to repair a small hernia also so that may be the cause of the added pain. I consider myself a strong person and Im just gonna take it one day at the time. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!!
