    Long Weekend

This was a very interesting weekend to say the less. After thinking about what I am getting into pending approval from my insurance I just cried. Here I am 35 years old and about to start a new chapter in my life. It is things that we took for granted in the beginning that is now about to affect and improve my life and family. After taking my family on a Sunday brunch, I came home turned on my Jill Scott and cooked healthy and danced while doing it. I am at the point where I won't allow my weight or my looks to affect my life anymore. It is time to life each day like it won't come again.

    First Appointment With Surgeron

You ladies are such inspiration to me. Right now I am just waiting to get the letter from my PCP that stated my year on Adipex and hope once the surgeon submits it that it will be approved by Tricare. The great part is that my hubby will be don't the procedure as well once he completes his six month WLS. So, we are both making a decision to do this. But I personally thank you!

    First Appointment With Surgeron

On this morning, I had my first appointment with Dr. A. Cribbins. The staff was exceptional and made me feel real comfortable. Upon seeing Dr. Cribbins, I was informed I weighted 260 pounds at my height of 5'4" and indeed morbid obese. For a second my heart drop, but I knew my main reason for starting this process. The best news of all was that due to my prior supervised medical weight lost, that I wouldn't have to wait the six months. So I was overly excited from that point. Dr. Cribbins came in and provided a very detailed explanation of everything and even answered my 15 questions which so much detail. Today really showed me that after years of dropping this weight, that i am finally make a right decision for me and my family.
  4. Hoping everyone has a great day. I'm just in the waiting process now.

  5. Well it is Wednesday, February 15, 2012 and I am extremely excited; of course, it isn't good that I am eating my last donut. On tomorrow I start my journey to a new me and a life I never knew. In 2009, I took Adipex for over a year with a doctor in which I only lost 20 pounds and gained it all back. Since December 9, 2011, I have been on Weight Watchers and have only lost 2.6 pounds with following the program and even working out. Two weeks ago, I made the decision to start on the process of thinking about my family and what I wanted. As the mother of an active 8 year old, I want to be around for him and enjoy my life. So on tomorrow, I am heading to the doctor to see where my future lies. This will be a new venture in my life but I am going forward. I will keep you all updated and hope this will be a great process for me.
  6. Thank you very much. Right now I am just waiting to see if my insurance approve the procedure. This has been a long time and I just want to start on my new life.

    First Appointment With Surgeron

Thank you very much. Right now I am just waiting for my PCP to send over where I was on Adipex for a year from 2009 to 2010 and I hope this will help tremendously. I am a little nervous but know this is the best thing for my life. My surgeon wants me to drop 84 pounds which I am perfectly fine with. It is just my prayer that i have the surgery before June since I have a huge vacation in July.

    Dr Said To Wait

Interesting. I just had my first appointment today and my doctor gave me above and beyond the information I needed. At the weight of 260 and 5'4", my ideal weight is 120 but he stated he wanted me at 180. My suggestion would be to please look for a doctor who truly understands your situation and will support you. This is a life changing decision and you need a physician who will be supportive.
