Hello, got a question. I have been banded for a year now. I went and got a fill that I didn't need which resulted in me not being about to eat or drink much of anything. I was told to stay on liquids for 2 weeks. I followed much of it except for throwing in some mashed potatoes a couple of times. Now I'm on the third week since I've had the fill and I am able to eat everything. Does this mean that I've had a slip? I really didn't have any pain except for when I got sick off the liquids. But I have no restriction at all. What should I expect from a slippage?

I was wondering. I just got a fill on 4/16 but I'm still eating everything normal? The other night I was able to eat 3 1/2 pieces of pizza, also yesterday I was about to eat 2 casear turkey wraps, this is not normal, I shouldn't be able to eat of this, right? I called to make my fill appointment and they told me that 2 months is the suggested time to get my next fill so I made the appointment for June 13, should I make it sooner because I've already gained 5 lbs from my last fill, something just isn't right, I should be loosing. Also does anyone know why people with the band should avoid caffeine (not soda's), because I drink the Crystal Light packets with caffeine for added energy and I just read that I shouldn't drink caffeine, why is that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:help:

Hello Everyone, I had my surgery on March 1, 2007 at 9:45am. Everything was successful. I have no pain, just soreness. I smile every minute because I made it through the surgery with no complications. I know this chapter of my life is going to be a good thing for me and my family. I have already lost 10lbs, just being on the liquid diet. I'm beginning to feel like myself again and I can't wait to start shedding these pounds. Thanks you guys for all of the support and encouragement, I have finally been initiated. Just wanted to give you all an update on how the surgery went. :clap2:

Hello Everyone. I'm about to have my surgery on March 1, 2007. But I'm very nervous and excited about it. I'm ready to loose this weight because I know that if I go too much longer I'll end up with a disease that will cause me to take medication until I die. So basically it's time to do what I know is right. I've viewed some of the awesome before and after pictures and it makes me want to clap my hands for all of you who have accomplished your goals. Currently I weigh 270 and I'm 5'6, my goal weight is 140 to 150. Tomorrow I begin my liquid diet, so can you tell I'm really excited (no more Krispy Kreme, no more McDonalds, and no more Papa Johns), oh well, at least I will be around to see my children live there lives. Just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know what a awesome job they are doing in meeting their goals.

Thanks ya for the encouragement. What did ya do for energy? Every since I started this diet I've been so fatigued and can't do anything, all I want to do is sleep. How bad is the pain after the surgery? Any advice on protein shakes that taste good?

Hello everyone. My surgery is March 1, 2007 and I'm so nervous about it that I can't think straight. I mean I'm ready to have it, but I don't want to think about the pain afterwards. Does anyone have any ideas as far as protein shakes. I start my liquid diet tomorrow and I need something to give me some energy.
