I am very happy with my band. I understand that many people have had problems and some of us haven't. I don't know why. I have been very lucky, very careful and do the best I can to follow the rules. Do what you can live with. You have to be committed to the band rules and exercise, any kind of exercise. Best of luck to you and your decision on what ever weight loss tool you get.
